Two Free Movie Vouchers @ Origin Movies (Customers Only)

1450
Easter257189

Received via email and I have tested the code on my family’s Origin account and the code is not unique, but wanted others to check if they have received the same code

It starts with Easter257XXX (it has 6 numbers in that code)

Hoyts cinemas seem to have run out of free tickets, but other cinemas like Event Cinemas, Palace Cinemas and Dendy are still working

Enjoy!

Enjoy 1x free double movie pass. You could catch the latest releases at a leading cinema near you. Hurry – availability is limited! Use code Easter257189 at the checkout. Offer ends 13 May 2025. ~T&C apply.

        • BG can you book? If not, I can try and book for you. Just need your cinema location.

        • I learnt from last time to always book first, share after! But thank you for your service BG

        • FYI, the code can still be viewed under revisions -> view changes

@freeb1e4me: Yeh I’m aware but it at least free up some loading time on Origin website for a tad bit

Ohh must have run out then bad luck guys 😔

  • Still working , when select a movie , choose a week day or try other sessions.

    • This is what I did, I think there might be a limit on how many free tickets per session.

  • The 2 event cinema vouchers they emailed just have a barcode for scanning at the kiosk. Looks like it can be used for any movie before the expiry at a participating cinema and not on sat after 5pm. Not sure why I had to pick a time and movie before checking out.

I just tried to book on event cinemas using the voucher and it seems to work on any movie as long as the location is the same as the one selected from the origin site.

How about cheaper rates instead of this rubbish and games. Spike games, movie tickets etc…cut all that out and provide better rates. Stop the gamification.

    • +1

      spike is gone…

Replaced with some other trap to keep you engaged

        • not yet

  • Just worked for 2 x Adult standard tickets for me at Reading Cinemas. Was trying TITAN and GOLD (Event) options but code would not work on those.

    • For reading cinemas, you will have to do it in cinema at the counter. Can't book online at all and can't use it for any premium sessions even if you are willing to pay extras.

tickets for me at Reading Cinemas.

I would find reading distracting whilst watching a movie…

        Better Pronouncing, Less Distracting

  • Can confirm I just tried and still got tickets. They aren't even set for a specific time and day. They just send you a voucher that can be exchanged for any tickets up til the end of June.

up til the end of June.

Someone pm’ed me and said that other movie cinemas works but not Hoyts

    • May be the case as Event worked for me.

      • +1

Palace Cinemas worked for me but I didn’t book on my account. Charlie was kind to share their tickets with me :)

  • +1

thanks got 2 vouchers for village exp 30/4/26

  • doesn't matter what I put in when where, get not enough tickets available

    • I have the same

    • Did you try other cinemas and not Hoyts?

  • Nice timing, I just had to settle the bill for where I used to live and as of today not with origin anymore, but still managed to get some sweet tickets along with my 43 bucks off the bill

  • +1

Got tickets thru dendy but can’t seem to amend after buying, damn.

    • yes, I'm worried that what I order will end up being no use to me anyway….if I find something that works

  • +1

    Getting an error "bad gateway"

    • I’m getting:

      Oops! Page not found

  • if we book a movie but don't end up going and the voucher haven't expired….. can it be used later?

    • Seems for Hoyts, yeah

      • and Palace.

    • they are generic vouchers, not for the movie you select.

      • yet you need to book a session in order to receive them

        thanks

        • It doesn't actually make a booking. It is a bit misleading.

You need to do that after you receive the voucher… (and pay the booking fee)

          • @jv: Ya I know guy

But it made me do a fake booking and select a session before it would email me the vouchers

            • @Poor Ass:

But it made me do a fake booking

Yep, first time I got some I did the same thing.

Thought I'd booked the seats, but then had to go to the Hoyts website and pay an additional booking fee.

              • @jv: I wonder if you just rock up with the voucher and pick seats yourself there will it avoid booking fee

                • @Poor Ass: Yes you can….

The only risk is if the session is sold out…

  • Gave up, keep getting "there are not enough tickets available" message. Tried a few different movies, different sessions, different cinemas including Hoyts, Village and Reading.

  • Sorry, there is not enough tickets.

I get that for every movie I try.

  • I thought I’ll get two vouchers. But I got two movies ticket that I have randomly selected.

The email contains movies bar code for a specific movie.

    • Which cinema did you choose? Most people here got the big chains ones, if you chose an independent cinema I reckon it might be different.

Thanks mate for sharing this. Booked for mine craft movie to watch with my son.

  • if you pick say, the dendy….are you stuck with the dendy?

    • You could always see if Hoyts will accept your Dendy tickets 😂

  • Where do I enter the code? I’m in Hoyts website and app. There’s a voucher code and PIN number or just pay by card? What am I missing?

    • looks like you are missing an Origin account

      • Ya I don’t have origin account. I thought it’s not required to be with origin account to get this deal. Am I missing something? I don’t want to go to origin energy just for this deal. What’s the way around this?

        • +1

that's the issue you need to have an origin account at some point either currently or before

even if you are not with origin now but did have the account should still work

but yeah too bad for you

          anyway sold out

          • @Poor Ass: Oh does that mean I can just create an account without being a customer? Just go to their site and sign up for free?

            • +1

@justanick: Nah I'm pretty sure you have to had an energy account to be able to open one

But once you leave you can still keep the acc

  • Tried a few sessions and times and didnt work. finally worked on Minecraft movie at Wallis Mitcham SA

    • Were they generic vouchers?

      • Hoyts and Palace definitely are, I've gotton both from them before.

  • Party's over looks like all out

    • Nope still works. Just potentially not for the main cinemas. I just booked Dendys and it worked after event cinemas at different locations kept saying “not enough tickets available”

      • Dendys yuck that's where people go to puke

  • I get a message that "Promo code could not be found" . Is everyone else getting that as well?

    • I see a message on their home screen that its finished now

      • Yeah, it's has been EGGS-HAUSTED!

  • Any deals on large popcorn and drink combo at event cinemas?

    • Yes, BYO

  • +1

I tried all cinema combinations in Melbourne for my film of choice across multiple dates but sadly had no luck this time.. As an Origin Energy customer for 8 years, I am surprised that I never receive the free movie ticket emails..

    • I never got the email but the vouchers worked.

    • +1

We are captured so probably don't bother with we lemmings any more….
