There's no wax on, wax off in drifting. The first drifters invented drifting out here in the mountains by feeling it. So feel it!

      Thanks family

    • Nope I use the gutters on the mountain pass in my hachiroku

Do you need your own car? It says helmets provided but doesn't mention car.

    • +1

We provide the cars also, we have 3 86 GRs

If that was the case it would immediately disqualify 90% of ozbargain.

      • youve never put maccas trays under the rear wheels of a camry ?

  • +6

    BYO Camry and maccas trays?

  • Any further discounts if I bring my own Camry?

Then go straight back to the western suburbs to show off your new skills in residential streets late at night….

    • Subsequently get wrapped around a light post.

… No one pays for this in Rockin'ham, WA! Parents responsibility to teach their young ;)

About their only responsibility in rocko

What sort of drifts do you teach, just handbrakes and donuts? Or do you cover stuff like power slides, Scandinavian Flicks etc?

    • Our elite course covers more in-depth techniques, it also depends on the individuals skill, our instructors will cater to that.

  • Curious how the 86s have been modified to make them more 'driftable'. Somehow disable traction control, new suspension, maybe sway bars?

    • Locked diff, hydraulic handbrake, the rest is meh. Even stock cars are driftable, just not as easy.

      • Nah just took an angle grinder to the springs and a mig welder to the diff.

The 86 original was pretty driftable and designed to be fun from the start… why else would they throw those super hard Prius tire’s on it..

  • Do people really pay to be taught how to lose control of their car?

Does the price include a guaranteed clip on Dash Cams Australia?

    • Only losers show up on Dash Cam Australia. Most enthusiasts actually race on track.

Many people THINK they would know how to drift their car, but in reality, they would just suck.

  • Please let's not encourage this street takeover bullshit you see in the US.

  • I did a Drift cadet course years ago. Then I made the instructor puked…… lol
By the way, inflation is crazy. Drift courses are so expensive now.

I already have MSA speed license, so can I get a discount for that amount? lol

    • Our instructors wont puke, they all do it professionally.
We can reduce it if you already have your MSA, you'll just need to forward it across to us for the day, just send me a PM or our Insta https://www.instagram.com/driftacademymelb/

  • Anyone knows a cheaper option ?
Would love to try out, but feel it is overpriced here!

Go to an industrial area at night and put some Macca's trays under the back wheels of your Camry. Leave the handbrake on and drive.

      • Thanks mate. I have a honda civic sedan. Should work the same!

        • Mate, you can't properly drift a Honda Civic. First of all wrong drivetrain lol.

Ironic I have to point this out given my nic.
