After some serious consideration, I was torn between the Tenda MX15 Pro and the MX12, which is available on AliExpress for around $150. While the MX12 seemed like a tempting budget option, I decided the MX15 Pro, was the better choice for me.

    Buy WIFI 7

    • Why? To use with the handful of capable devices?

Are these any good my mw5's drop out constantly

    • Oh that’s a shame. I have the mw5c and work very well for me, but I hate I cannot separate bands. Have you tried resetting? Also I have turned on the maintaince schedule.

      • I do. But had if over 3kb not to reset ticked. Have turned off see if works better for me.
Do you have fast roaming on or off?

        • Have fast roaming On, capacity orientated mode Off & have have it reboot everyday via maintenance

          • @vince088: Actually the internet is dropping for me since I moved to Spintel for some reason (at night). I have an old gen 2 Telstra modem and I connected the Tenda as bridge (turning off wifi from the Telstra modem). So far so good but I will still get a new mesh.

            • @fozzie: if the old Telstra modem is causing issues you can connect the WAN cable straight to the tenda nova's

Im currently using Telstra modem 3 > bridged to Tenda nova MW6's no issues

My next upgrade will be Wifi 7 mesh with at least 3 or 4 bands, waiting for prices to come down :D

    • I have the MW6 and it too persistently drops out and nowhere near reliable to be used. Staying away from this brand..

  • For mesh, you really want to go triband unless you do wired backhaul.

    • What's the cheapest triband 3 pack you'd recommend?

Fair point. I will cancel this order most likely and get a Google nest pro 6e. Fairly expensive but I think it would be a better choice that will last longer.

  • Also how do these compare to the eero 6 at slightly more $$

    • Well the cost it’s nearly double. At that point I think the Google nest pro 6e would be a better choice. $479 and you could price beat at office works.

        Eero 6. Non + are $325 atm.

  • I am going to get some Xiaomis that can get openwrt. It will be cheaper and safer once is set up.
