Wife has had one for ~7 years and it has been bulletproof. Recommend these highly.

Been using the Revlon hairdryers for like almost 10 years, still going strong!

ive been sticking my head out the window driving to work for 12yrs… working well.

I went completely bald 8 years ago, definitely wouldn’t recommend it

          • @Edlson: i went insane for 29 years, definitely recommend it

        • True Oz Bargainer!

  • These are brilliant. My colleague has one and it's so much better than a regular hair dryer. Faster drying, more powerful and directed airflow. Also, the buttons in the middle allow for ambidextrous use (this should be standard nowadays). I am looking at getting the Gama Professional iQ2.

  • I had this for 5 years, the problem is it's design need oftern dust cleaning in the intake filter, once in 1-2 weeks. Otherwise the air flow drops dramatically, like weaker than blowing with your mouth. Even with regular cleaning it still not the same as new, because the very tiny hole cannot be fully cleaned. Recently spend $200 for a Leifen, works as good as Dyson. The only difference is Leifen 's air blowing is more wider than dyson. Will see how Leifen 's fillter going as it has bigger hole.

  • Is it available in store?

    • Yes, saw it in store.

    • Yes - I was at Costco Marsden park NSW earlier today and there were a fair few in stock. Assume it will be same across different stores. The $200 off expires tomorrow - 27-Apr though.

      • Thanks, mrs got one from Ringwood this Sat.

    Are there any cheaper alternatives???

Thinking to get one for daughters to use but just can't justify spending so much…

  • How will this work on a border collie? Missus has been wanting one for a while but we have a puppy now so might be able to justify it.

Not sure if trolling or not….

Dogs don't like noise, but ours got used to the hairdryer and the leaf blower. I reckon you'd be okay.

The Dyson dries my 50kg German Shep in 30-40 minutes from soaking my wet. German sheps are double coats as well so it would be much faster on a border collie.

Look up the heat regulation feature. It’s significantly less hot than a normal hairdryer (but still effective) so safer for pup!

  • This is a very good hair dryer. I am a man with mid hair, but I notice the difference when I use this.

  • Not a huge fan of the shark? one I got off amazon. Doesn't dry very fast, feels cheaper than a Remington tbh.

    • Alright, for future visitors, I have received mine, and I got it wrong, I had a "dreame" hair dryer, not "shark", which "dreame" is the knock off Dyson.

The Dyson is incredibly more solid than the Dreame one. It has an incredibly strong magnet to hold the attachments on, versus the dreame one I always had to be careful with it not to knock it off.

The vent at the bottom of the Dyson feels like an extension to the handle, very sturdy, where as the dreame one is very soft, squishy and has a flimsy feel.

Dyson came with multiple different heads, versus just the one from Dreame.

Dyson has 3 heat settings and 3 fan settings versus the Dreame's 2 fan settings and "kind of 3" heat settings (hot, warm, alternating).

The dreame one is cheaper, but feels cheaper. I don't know if I'd go as far to say it's better value, it's just a different price point hair dryer.

Happy with the Dyson. The dreame's being chucked into the back of the cabinet as a replacement.
