More expensive brands of dishwasher (Bosch, Samsung, LG, etc) often have $150-250 off their ticket price. Anyone looking at this seriously, take a second to research prices elsewhere and check reviews for repair costs+ longevity.

Tbh it looks decent though at an ok price!

Showing up as $699 for me.

I have the HSCM15FS, which looks almost identical except it has enough room for 15 places rather than 14, and the Hinsense website promotes the quiet inverter. I paid $720 for it, plus an installation and removal fee ($65) from JB about 18 months ago. It's easy to install but to honour the warranty the dishwasher needs to be professionally installed. It is quiet, dishes come out clean, and I usually run it absolutely stacked on the longest, eco setting.

Honestly, I would not get it again. It's smaller on the inside than you'd think, and although the middle tray (both on mine and this listed model) can go up and down, it means you're either washing big plates and small glasses/cups, or vice versa.

I've had a few recurring faults over the last 18 months that Hisense can't diagnose, and the error code doesn't appear in the manual. I thought it was the pump or a blocked hose, and going through Hisense support is slow work as they need videos of what's happening. Draining hose has been clear both times, and bizarrely for an inanimate object it fixes itself after leaving it alone, unused, for a week or so.

It's not water sitting inside the machine is it? Inside, not at the bottom of the draws. Next time it refuses to work, tip the machine forward and hopefully water will pour out onto the floor. Clean up and switch back on.

A lot of dishwashers have a flood sensor that will stop it from operating if it floods. Sometimes it malfunctions though, if it is interrupted during the cycle and detect water in the tray. I had a similar situation where it "fixed" itself after a few weeks, because the water had evaporated.

Thanks for the reply. Only a small amount of water in the drain, nothing left in the pan under the bottom tray. What's weird though is that both times that fault has happened, the machine will work, it just has a hissy fit in the final couple of minutes.

However, if (when?) it happens again, I'll try tipping it.

    • reviews says coming out not dry?

      • +1

That sounds frustrating, everything comes out dry on mine. Glancing at the specs for the 14 model, it looks like there's an option for 'extra drying'.

        • hmm ok well too bad its exp now, there are hundreds of brand model cant really tell which one is good i mean the cheap but good.
i wish everyone provide a week trial free return if not happy thing haha
i like this on the post above due to the 30mins option, i was researching before and some takes like 2 hours in one cycle i was like what the heck what they do in such a long time???

          • +1

@McMaferMur: I usually run a cycle that goes for three hours and fifteen minutes, which sounds excessive but it is labelled as the 'eco' cycle. The dishwasher is packed neatly close to completely full, and everything comes out clean and dry. There are long sections of time when it doesn't sound like it's doing anything.

            • @JarrodRebecchie: But by logic, doing whatever the machine does for 3 hours, it doesnt make sense, i mean imagine spraying water continuously for 30 mins that should clean anything that can be cleaned

              • @McMaferMur: Without setting up a flow monitor on the pipes, a power outlet monitor on the mains power, or analysing the moisture levels of my plates, cups and cutlery, I can't say for certain if the 30 minute, 2 hour or 3:15 run time cycles make more or less of a difference.

I can say for certain this conversation about dishwashers has gone on for longer than I anticipated. In summary, I don't recommend this particular Hisense dishwasher.
