I think this is the previous model from Maxi Cosi Pria and does not have Maxi-Cosi SMART Guide®.

However, IMO this is a decent price (ATL) for a compact convertible car seat (0-4 yrs) given the street price is ~$400. (~$550 for Maxi Cosi Pria)

Stack with the following
$10 Promo Credit When You Purchase $250 or More in Amazon Gift Cards
10%-15% off Baby Registry Completion Discount
10% off first baby wishlist order

Maxi-Cosi Deluxe Car Seat Protector also on sale for $26

Managed to get Car Seat + Protector for $191.39, not sure how exactly the discount was calculated.

Total: $267.32
Promotion(s) Applied: -$75.93
Gift Card Amount: -$191.39

  • You can price match these with Baby Bunting for an extra 5% discount.

    • Tried but BB don’t sell Vita anymore.

Baby bunting (and other major baby item retailers) are known to stock the same item but under different names with slight variations in finish so that price matching on items like this cannot be done.

        • disgusting right?

  • Great price, thank you!

  • Rearward facing to 30 months;

Yeah you want rear facing for 48 months if possible.

    • Isn't it rear facing until 4 IF POSSIBLE? 30 months is just the limitation of the seat.

  • Oh man I need this for August perfect timing is this good? Other comparable car seats? Anyone who has experience can recommend or look for something else? Thanks

    • Based on our research, you probably want to get this one or there is a solid deal for maxi cosi pria.

      Britax is too big imo.

      • Thank you for sharing I might look into that one as well

    • I highly reccomend the infrasecure Quattro for a little more when it goes on sale for about $350

      • Thanks heaps for this I'll check out reviews hopefully price drops soon

The smart glide system on the Pria is a game changer.

  • I’ve had this seat and the Vita Pro (only difference if the cheek/head support gimmick), and it’s been great. Taken it on many flights and it’s held up really well, super durable, washable fabric. Bit of pilling on the fabric but it’s held up great.

Easy to install and get your kids in and out. Seems comfortable for the kids.

My 3 and a half year old is still rear facing. Every kid is different though. Will keep him rear facing as along as practicable as it’s the safest position.

NOTE- don’t buy this expecting to fit 3 across. I have one on either side of the RAV4/WRX and you won’t fit. One on each side leaves a little bit of room for a small adult to squeeze inbetween if needed.

If I could go back in time, I’d probably look for a seat where I could fit 3 across if having 3 kids.

Keep an eye out on Marketplace for a trustworthy seller- you can get them for $150 or less in good condition.

    • While I will always advocate for sustainability aka 2nd hand for most baby items, would make sure you can easily inspect the car seat for damage etc if buying second hand.

It may be a scare campaign by the car seat manufacturers but I feel like you should aim to buy a new car seat (even if it is a cheaper one). Don’t risk the life of your child to a car seat that may have been involved in a crash or collision.
