Please check if it might be cheaper at Dan's. With a $300 spend, you can get $50 off, and the price is under $76 in Melbourne.
Same price and same deal at BWS
Better to look at BWS especially if ShopBack or Cashrewards have upsize cashback like last week.
Can someone tell me if this has a smokey flavour profile or not? I've seen conflicting reviews online. Reason is I have a bottle and don't want to crack it open if it is the slightest bit smokey (can't stand it). If it does then its a simple regift.
Glenfiddich 12 is definitely not peated, at all, and having finished a bottle within the last year or so, I didn’t get any smoke from it at all. That being said, I love heavily peated whisky so I’m probably not super sensitive to smoky notes.
It’s not smoky at all, it’s a bit sweet and fruity, easy to drink.
I'm with you there. I had a bottle of Laphroaig a while back - did not like it at all. It tasted like I was drinking it out of an ash tray.
This works out to be 67 at 201 for three

I've tried all the Glenfeddichs range up to the 18 year old and love them all. Great subtle fruity aromas and notes. No smokey flavour at all. I have one standard drink with some dark chocolate a few times a week after dinner. Great way to end a day. It's a good deal at these prices.
Yep $77 is standard pricing, however I guess having it delivered for free makes it a deal for some.
Worth considering if it's your thing!
Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old $129.50 https://www.amazon.com.au/Johnnie-Walker-Scotch-Whisky-700ml…
Eagle Rare Single Barrel $80.64 https://www.amazon.com.au/Eagle-Rare-Bourbon-Single-Barrel/d…Bourbon should get cheaper the longer Trump is in power 😂
Eagle Rare used to be my go to… Now it's basically the same price as Sazerac Rye I just go for that.
$50 in December, now that was a deal
Yeah this seems pricey, I dont recall paying over $65 for a bottle of glenfiddich 12
Over the last couple years the entire price range for Whisky's has shifted up about 30 to 60 bucks (or lets say about 20 to 40%), unfortunately. Maybe there are some exceptions and the odd bargain but most have gone up a fair bit.
Aberfeldy 12 is also on sale for $78 (Price matching First Choice Liquor). Also, a part of spend $250 get $30 off promotion.
Good thing taste is subjective, as I can't agree on this one.
I ordered it when it was on special a while ago (around this price or maybe even a bit cheaper). Grabbed two bottles initially, and then — thanks to a bit of FOMO — ordered two more a couple days after.
Once the first two arrived, I opened one, had a taste… and immediately cancelled the second order.
While I’ll admit it’s definitely cheap for a 16-year-old whisky, it’s nowhere near what I would expect from something of that age. In my opinion, it’s quite bland and flat (and quite 'sweet' if my memory serves me right).
IMHO The Dailuaine 16 is the best proof that an age statement does not always say much about the quality of the Whisky.PS: Just double checked. October last year for $65 a bottle.
I wouldn't compare it to most other 16 year old whisky but at the $65-$70 mark I enjoyed it more than Glenfiddich 12. I have many sherry whiskies in my collection I enjoy more, but most are double to 3 times the price too.
As you said taste is subjective so maybe just not to you taste, but for others considering trying it I'm not the only one with this opinion, there's quite a few whisky reviews where they enjoyed it too (and they were reviewing at the retail price of $130ish):

I bought the Dalluaine and it's okay. Out of the 'Amazon' deals, better to get the Cardhu 12. It's almost identical to the JW Green and it's $62/bottle. I believe JW use Cardhu as part of their blend.
Great deal, and great alternative to buying any american liquor.
Agreed, all American liquor leaves a bitter after taste of broken promises and destruction, better to support our friends in Ireland and Scotland! I do enjoy Glenfiddich, but this price is my normal go to BWS price.
Good Find OP
