We got one of those Yellow Envelopes in the mail today and this advertisement caught my eye from Paws for Life.

- $6.95 flat rate shipping to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide

Example purchase- Comfortis Tab Brown for dogs:
Usual price $71.90 shipped
After discount $51.90 shipped
Next best I found $61.80 shipped

So have a look around, depending on what you buy you may save $10-$20.

Disclosure: I am a customer of Paws for Life and get food delivered every 3 weeks so can't take advantage of this offer. I don't encourage you to shop at this company or avoid it. See if you can save some money with this offer and then shop at the cheapest place after that.

It's annoying that they don't have deals for active members :(

Another great deal on cat food. Even cheaper than the one posted a couple of hours ago. What's the deal with Auto-Delivery? Can I just setup Auto delivery and cancel after my first order?

    • I guess so:

"With no lock in clauses or contracts, you are free to cancel or modify your order at any time with no penalty."

I guess they presume if they offer the best price the majority of people will lock in, but yeah, it seems what you suggest could occur.

      • Was wondering the same thing - seems to suggest you can cancel at any time, but I don't see why anyone would buy one off in that case.

Let us know if you try it!

heh. I'm waiting for someone else to be the guinea pig. ;)

        • Just placed an order at the auto deliver price. Logging into my account I can see the autodeliveries (Mine is set to 26 weeks). There are buttons to change or delete, so yes it appears you can order at the autodelivery price for a one off.

    • I ordered off them about a year ago and had no issues with changing or cancelling my order after one purchase. Their customer service was actually quite good but they don't sell the dog food I buy anymore so I've gone somewhere else.

  • Only downside I guess, is no Paypal.

  • This is only for first orders isnt it?

    • That is correct.

      • bugger, didnt read the post, it says it there :). Shame, i hate all this first order stuff, we deserve specials too! ;).

Btw you mentioned you have found cheaper prices (when not taking into account the discount?) Which shops are they?

I buy some of my stuff from this place which sells on ebay or you save a dollar or two by shopping at their old looking store:
          http://www.budgetpetproducts.com.au/new/

I do shop around though and try and find the best prices on things as I need them, with the exception of food because we buy 20kg every 3 weeks, so the discount is good.

  • Unfortunately the very high shipping cost to Perth makes it not worthwhile to buy from them.

    • $6.95 for me.. same as the other capital cities

  • Look for item number 416f511865 on fleebay. Have used them a few times before and had no problems at all.

  • Thanks heaps bxpressiv, I ordered my discounted Advocate yesterday and it was in my letterbox this afternoon.
