Noticed the original game trending on OzB today. I never played the original, and I'm not sure I could play it now that the remake exists.
This price is close to all time low for the remake. I'm temped to get it, but just bought NeiR Automata and haven't finished it yet.

    This is a good price. Incredible game (along with Rebirth).

      Good find. I did check GMG before posting, but didn't expect price to be different when logged in.

    Also available as a twin pack with Rebirth for $104 so Remake works out to be $31.

    Worth it IMO since you’re likely to want to play the sequel and I argue it’s the better game between the two.

              - Twin pack regular = $86.08
              - Twin pack digital deluxe = $110.67

              It looks like the digital deluxe version is extra stuff for Rebirth only.. Both versions have Remake Intergrade.

    wow.I always wanted to play the new remake as I have played the original.
    But i don't have PS.

    So if my understanding is correct, the rebirth is the sequel of remake, but they are all still inside of the original?
    So the creator decided to divide the original into trilogy?
    and to enjoy the whole remake of the original, I will need to purchase all?

      Rebirth is the sequel Remake but without trying to spoil too much, it's not completely "inside" the original game.

      You'll find out after playing Remake.

        Is there a Part 3 coming out? I googled but the results were mixed (PS6, 2030, Cancelled at the start of April etc)

          Yes, Part 3 will be the conclusion of the trilogy

          Last I heard they were targeting 2027. There was a four year gap between Remake and Rebirth but apparently there’s more done that they can use for the third game so the gap should be shorter this time. Assuming no delays.

      Yes they have split the original FF7 into 3 games, two have been released so far.

      As to why they've done it this way, you'll understand when you play them :)

        should I buy now now or wait for all trilogy to come out.. tough!
        Because even If I buy now i don't think i can play anytime soon…. Tough!

        Never played the original.
        I just want to wait until the developers complete the remake project, and then I’ll pick it up in a trilogy bundle and play it from beginning to end.

          You'll be missing out on a lot of incredible online community discussions around the games which are happening as the games release, it's not the same experience after the moments pass.

      As a massive fan of the original, I can completely sympathise with your intent. Had I the patience, I also would have waited to play all 3 parts in succession as a big marathon.
