Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancelling $239 + $5.95 Delivery ($0 NSW C&C) @ Lakemba Shop (PB fr $227.05 @ Officeworks)

440

Was in the market for Airpods. Noticed this place is by far the cheapest. I can't comment on the speed of delivery or anything like that, cause OW was willing to price beat them for $227.05 (after the usual trying to weasel their way out of it).

Personally, i wouldn't buy anything in Lakemba… cause i am nowhere near it. Love their website though, specifically the "This is header widget area" under the search bar.

Wow this site looks dodgy as hell. No way would I be handing over any personal details to them let alone credit card info.

I concur. But… i would hand the site to OW for a pricebeat.

    • That's because they used a template for their page. It's typical to use Latin in templates as a place holder. They forgot to remove it.

I wouldn't use them either, prob fake or stolen. But it's not the website it's their price. No reason why some nobody company would be able to offer a (presumably, I don't do apple) great price.

    • Check out the reviews. Also lorem ipsum.

Not the nicest place to walk around at night.

I never mba where that place is.

Can't fault OW for being hesitant to price match this - looks dodgy as hell

  • +3

OW and JB had no interest in price matching. Both said they couldn’t verify they are a authorised seller. Fair enough with the look of the website, worth a try!

  • I was looking into wireless earbuds yesterday and I was wondering if would there be any difference in just getting a high-end Chinese brand like earfun air pro 4 instead?

I am part of the mac/iphone eco-system so not sure if this would have a unique advantage in that regard.

I got AirPod Pros with the recent Apple back to school deal.

Previously was using Soundcore Liberty 4 NC which cost $129.

Honestly besides from the Apple ecosystem integration and the AirPods being slightly smaller there’s not really anything special about the AirPods in comparison. At least for my ears and my music taste (bass heavy).

    • Having Siri is pretty good. The integration with iPhone/Mac is great. Share Audio is a good feature in a pinch.

Walla its legit, i swear to god bro

Avoid sourcing from websites like this, there are really good airpod clones. So real it's hard to tell from fakes. Check out Reddit airreps.

Buy from OW, you have piece of mind.

Use it to pricebeat at OW, you have piece of mind at a lower cost.

I wouldn't trust anything from Lakemba!

  • Lakemba Shop …. lol. 100% these are high end counterfeits.

  • Did anyone get officeworks to price match this site?

No issues with price matching over the phone for me

I don't care that its in Lakemba (why are there are so many stuck up people here who just assume everything is bad in the south west?) But there are too many things on this website that I just love to laugh at…

    • They didn't even bother paying for a theme for their wordpress site, it literally just says "Welcome to free Envo shop theme"
    • The terms and conditions, delivery and store hours aren't clickable
    • The colours are not only not accessible, they are just horrible (49 critical issues according to an audit).
    • Most of the links don't go anywhere

Did someone just create this website to then go to stores to price match? Also looks like their website use to be lakembashop.com.au according their their shopfront on google maps

Welcome to free Envo Shop Theme

  • got mine just now. they dont fit my ears that well so going to have to sell them on marketplace.

    • this is my reluctance to purchase earpods. would love to have some clean way to test out earpods before purchasing.

      • +1

If you purchase directly from Apple, I believe they have some trial period, maybe a week or two, where you can return them for a full refund.

Obviously the OZB way would be to undertake the trial, see if you like them, return them, and then find a sale price from a highly reputable seller such as www.totallylegitLakembastorenotascamtrustmebro.co.zb and then get OW to price match…

  • Was gonna bite but read a lot of reviews that Airpods Pro 2 is better. This is the entry level.

    • AP2 are fantastic, but a lot of people don't like the silicone tips in their ears. I also don't love the tips, but it's worth it for the better noise cancelling for me. I just buy better aftermarket tips that are more comfortable.

      • Personally okay with the tips. It keeps the Airpods fit snugly in the ears. Guess everyone's different.

OW were happy to price beat, came to $232.70, including postage. Thanks, OP

I tried to price beat with JB. No luck. They said it is not an approved / registered seller, so they can offer any discount based on that.

Officeworks South Melbourne $231.80. Thanks OP!

  • Is this pod comfortable for side sleep? Currently use a xiaomi, too much projecting pressure.

  • Just ordered my wife a pair as well, no issues with pricebeating by OW over the phone.

OW at Subiaco - Perth worked for me. $217. The guy took a while trying to check warranty stuff on the computer, but he couldn't find what he was looking for, then he said he was just going to approve the price beat.

  • Pricebeat at castle hill office works. Thanks!

  • Officeworks refused to price match for me as Lakemba Shop seems to be a furniture store that grey imports stuff from China and as others have mentioned their website is very sketchy. They did beat Landmark Computers ($259 +$11 shipping) though, and came to $256.50 in the end which I was happy with.

  • Worked in Chirnside Park Vic, did not work at Ringwood Vic

  • I got a Price Beat over the phone. No hassle at all.

  • they were certainty hesitant for PB at OW
but still got it for 227.05AUD after the manager verifying the site

    thanks OP
