We're clearing old stock of the Artist ST62II to make room for a newer version of this classic!

WAS $349 NOW $249!

Unbelievably versatile with the looks to match, the Artist ST62II is one of our bestselling guitars – with good reason! Featuring a lightly roasted Canadian maple neck, high-grade locking tuners, and a modern style 6-saddle floating bridge, the Artist ST62II combines the best elements of vintage design with a host of modern appointments, improving on an already classic design!

With two Alnico V Artist Wrangler pickups in the neck and middle positions, the Artist ST62II produces the kind of gorgeous, out-of-phase tones made famous by players like Hendrix, Clapton, and Mark Knopfler! If you're hungry for a little more power, switching to the bridge position reveals a throaty growl with plenty of mid-range and top-end bite courtesy of our famous Artist Bullbucker humbucker! The HSS configuration is controlled via a 5-way switch, offering tonal flexibility at your fingertips.

Need more colours like Seafoam green as seen on the STMVG

    • Agree, seaform would be nice

  • Even at $249 it's overpriced. You can find better value out there.

    • +2

      What's better value?

      • $49 more you get the yamaha pacifica. a few grades above this one and always sought after so you dont lose $$$ on resell.

        • +1

I slightly agree with resell value but roasted maple neck and bone nut better specs on ST62II

          • @brownsound: So this is the best guitar for $250?

            • @Yaren24: For a beginner, probably yes?

For a collector, depends on what specs you want.

Artist guitars also has a strong returns policy, not sure if it applies to this runout model.

              • @brownsound: Pretty sure no one is collecting guitars in the $250-300 range…

How about you stop pretending what you know what you're on about? This is just AI garbage that's badly reinterpreted Reddit ponderings.

Yamaha guitars are renowned for their quality of construction and having an agathis body makes for a huge improvement over the basswood, it's almost assured to have better humbuckers in this price range. Out of the box, the Yamaha will sound way better.

                • @freefall101: Good opinion, questionable addition of escalating language that does little for the discussion.

I have an artist, good guitar but the bullbucker sounds hollow to me but that is comparing it to seymours that I tend to use. I might think the same about the pacifica, though. Not a fair comparison.
