@jadamd: Well, there you go, a definitive answer. What about card in store? That was what I originally meant to ask.
It specifically says it doesn't apply for cash payments in store… I accidentally selected pay in store with card (which it doesn't specifically say doesn't count) and it didn't track it… I think safest to just pay up front.
