      I used to think this was true, but often it's not. Independent bottle shops can be hit and miss, but fairly often they have better prices on the most popular drinks.

      Even liquorland often has cheaper prices, but it's usually on own-brand stuff. You can't get Dan's to match a LL own-brand beer 6-pack or bottle of vodka if they don't sell the brand, right?

        Maybe the independents would, but BWS and LL by far have the worst pricing. I find First Choice is pretty good.

          I find most of the time LL has better pricing then FC. Coles are changing FC to LL Warehouse. They'll be harmonising price

          LL now price match too.

      As someone who goes into bottle shops numerous times a day for work I can tell you that Dan's are definitely not always the cheapest. While they might do a couple of loss leaders, the majority of their prices are more expensive than promo pricing of Ritchies, IGA, Cellar rations, The Bottle-O, Thirsty Camel etc. Dan's also don't automatically match catalogue and online pricing like they did 10 years ago. Also Dan's these days pushes private label very hard and has de-ranged a significant amount of non private label and exclusive wines over the past 5 or so years.

        2. Discount Code listed here —> E.g. $250 with $50 off code;
        3. Paid with an RACQ-purchased 5% off Dan Murphys Gift Card purchased for $237.50; and for completeness…
        4. Gift Card bought with an ultimate awards card with triple points = 712.5 points @ 0.0048 each = $3.42 = $234.08

        I worked it out, my mistake. I'd had delivery selected which got me just above the $300 mark, but obviously they dont include that cost in the minimum spend.
