      My Memory is failing

  • Does the MB allow overclocking for 3600Mhz DDR?

  • Whats the CL timing on the Patriot memory kits?

      • Looks like PVSR464G360C0K is out due to timing IMHO for the price.

        • agreed

          • @Flakuciernie63: I was looking at the PVSR464G360C0K kit. I didn't realize the timings were so poor. Glad I read this post.

What did you end up buying?

          • @Flakuciernie63: Hi mate, just curious what RAM (what brand, speed, capacity) you ended up buying and how it's working for you?

            • @Ice009: Didn't get any
32 As Far i know, should be enough for know
              Happy to elaborate

                @Flakuciernie63: Didn't see this reply.

                So you've stuck with 32GB? You didn't get a 64GB kit?

  • Just check compatibility of ram on your mb website and get the 'best' from that list and to suit your budget and availability

  • +2

You won't notice the difference between any of them.

5700X3D is essentially memory timing agnostic, just get the cheapest / most available …

agnostic - a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God.

Always helps to actually read things entirely:

        Agnostic:

        COMPUTING
denoting or relating to hardware or software that is compatible with many types of platform or operating system.
"many common file formats (JPEG, MP3, etc.) are platform-agnostic"

    • How about the non-X3D CPUs? Are they also the same? I currently have a 3900XT (not sure what works best for this?)

  • I have a similar question (I've got a 3900XT), but am going to upgrade to a 5xxx series CPU (not sure what yet - looks like I've missed the boat on the 5700X3D deals and it's out of production?).

Would I be able to get 2 x 64GB kits and run them at their rated specs, or should I be looking at a 128GB kit? I was looking at 3600Mhz RAM early this year.

Edit : Looks like I've missed the boat on DDR4 too, as I remember seeing 128GB 3600Mhz kits for under $400 on Amazon earlier this year?
