You should get one - it would look great on you.

Still not that legible but have seen worse GA2100s haha. Guess no solar either for that price.

These are good for $129 (plus another $10 off MAY10):

Best to look at reviews as mentioned, the red one has a crappy weak backlight.

The old school negative display & LED backlight on those isn't great plus they're often around that price on Amazon for a GA100.

I generally only post if they're a big drop from Camel average (see links). Also I checked eBay.

Edit - How bad is this one, blue hands on blue dial. So dumb!!!

      • Oh right, good points and yeah I wouldn't buy negative display if possible unless it's MIPS. Although with the GA2100 a lot of people would ignore the LCD display all together most of the time.

Agree, read the all red one and blacked out 2100 are very bad to read the time.

Edit: I got one of these but looks too massive on me so will return it.

Yep just don't get the thinking behind these watches, why cripple them for no reason.

        • The only one I would buy in that case style is the digital only version positive display, currently $119.85.

          • @WatchNerd: The DW6900 are good and also the DW9052 as far as classics go.

      • So nerd , posting watches again ⁉️

I never stopped Merv but probably not posting as often anymore. I guess inflation and greed has taken over. Too much jacking.

  • Now that's actually stylish…

it doesn't look very good.. to me it says "I'm made of plastic 100%" but maybe to some people that's a good thing. 🤔

You must be new to G-Shocks.

to me it says "I'm made of plastic 100%"

Yes, there's a good reason why most watches are.

Do you wear watches? Do you know that steel/leather/fabric cases and/or bands are much easier to damage and will look like absolute sh*t if you wear them during any strenuous/dirty activity even for a brief period of time?

Resin is the most popular material for watch cases/bands because it's the most durable and most suitable in all use cases. This is a G-Shock, durability and ruggedness are their hallmarks.

        it doesn't look very good..

so do you find the grey watch in the deal picture stylish like dyna did?

you did a good job completely answering everything else but the style. honestly I don't care if it's plastic but imo looking that way isn't very stylish, reminds you of something like a Anko branded watch from kmart.

            @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm:

you did a good job completely answering everything else but the style.

I didn't design the watch genius so maybe take it up with Casio, I'm sure a multi-million watch dollar company that's been in business for 79 years definitely needs design input from someone with the handle "n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm". Nor did I ever say I liked it. Looks are subjective. Plastic/resin as a watch material is objectively a good material because most watches are going to get damaged because humans have hands and arms that move.

You might be a few plastic bottles short of a full pack yourself.

Looks great, only if they made a solar version with negative display

You mean positive. Agree, and Bluetooth.

  • Off topic but got s general question on higher end watches..

Casio watches are nice, but investing a nice watch that appreciates seem to be an art

Does anyone have an idea why the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona "Pickachu" appreciated by like 65%?

Daytonas seem to be doing surprisingly well

Any recommends on good Authorised Dealers for non repeat buyers with shorter wait times..?

Ahahahaha haaaaa hahaha heeheehee hahahaaaa snort aaahhhaahahaaaha

      Sorry, that wasn't necessary.

      No, wait:

Haaaaahahaa hahahohohoho hahaaaaha haaha wipes tears haaahahaha

    • Wrong place to be asking about luxury watches and Rollys haha.

I wouldn't pay over RRP for any watch, they aren't generally investments.
It's just a supply and demand issue and propaganda created by the company.
Just need to start by buying cheaper less desirable models to get into the system.

  • Get the Skmei homage (model 2243). They are a lot of watch for $27. Got mine a month ago and still wearing it daily.

  • is the luminescent parts radio-active?

    • Yeah but you'll only get small tumours.

      • +2

Hope they still visible so I can complain to Amazon abt radioactivity and get a full refund and keep the watch
