Argh. If not for CG-Nat I'd have moved all the relatives and myself over.
Ah well, still a good deal.

If not for CG-Nat I'd have moved all the relatives

Do all your relatives run servers at home?

    • $49.99 ongoing with free static IP here…

  • OP, where are your POIs?

    • It's a secret.

      • How to use this?

        • Sorry if I was vague! Services will be aggregated to the nearest capital city

    Mate is $40

    • +6

True, but only for the first 6 months, then reverts to $70 per month, you may wish to add in your comment

      • -6

Why, he is just saying it’s $70, don’t be so precious.

Are the people who are happy with 25 Mb/s likely to be the same people who want unlimited data?

    • +1

      Yes…

My folks use it and stream IPTV all day…

That is all they use it for with a bit of VOIP, so 25/10 is perfect for them.

    • I am happy with unlimited but very unhappy with 25 Mb/s - thanks to onion muncher my FTTN will do no more.

    • Used to run a whole house on Felix hotspot 20up 20down.

Mind you we did that because it was cheap, wouldn't be caught dead paying 50 a month for speeds in that area.

  • Are they based at Coffs Harbour?

I read in the Daily Murdoch that NBN charges the telcos $34 a month for 25Mbps, so not much margin.

    • Thats approaching 30% markup, that's not bad margin.

    • yeah, NBN is trying to incentivise RSP's to get people on higher plans.

Or probably better worded….disincentivise RSP's having people on lower plans

  • I have been with this mob for 6 months or so(I signed up at the $47/month deal). I was having issues with another provider with constant random drop outs.

Has been rock solid with Solitary.

Both my wife and I WFH and have 1 TV on netflix for the kiddos. Has performed flawlessly.

Called support because there was a small delay in setting up and sorted out whilst i was on the phone. Very little waiting for call to be answered.

    Good company!

      Glad to hear it, @hothed!

Here's to many more months and years! πŸ™‚

  • Looking for a new provider. Any deals for NBN 50? Was getting an error when I typed in my address.

    • Unfortunately nbn’s pricing for 50/20 is ridiculous and makes no sense (other than for pushing people up to 100/20) - so no deals on 50/20

If you need any help with your address, feel free to pop on a live chat or give us a call. πŸ™‚

  • Any ideas of what the new prices will be from 1 July?

    • This pricing will continue through 1 July, we’ve already updated it πŸ™‚

  • may I please find out if we can do DID with Solitary Technology and how much per month? or are there cheaper deals out there? crazytel said no more 0.35pm but now the cost is $2 pm.

    • Yes, we do offer residential voice service.

      There are two options:
Number forwarding - $5/month or $50/year - Keep your existing landline, and forward all incoming calls to the mobile or landline of your choosing (Yearly pricing works out to $4.17/month)
Unlimited talk - $10/month - Unlimited talk within Australia and 30+ international destinations.

Unfortunately, we do not offer PAYG voice for residential clients - Only unmetered.

Sign up is available online, however we can also help you out over the phone.

However, any VoIP service will work with our nbn plans, if you wish to use a 3rd party for voice πŸ™‚

  • So I signed up to this deal earlier, then asked a rep on the phone to activate my service on 17 July, because I arranged to cancel with my previous provider on 19 July.

Seems like they forgot to activate my service so I now have no nbn internet as of today (20 July). Today is also a Sunday and they have no after hours service.

I've requested to cancel my service with them and asked for a refund. I'll be signing up with another provider.

    • Hi kzl,

Sorry you had such a poor experience with us.

The order was placed; however, it was initially rejected by nbn as we were provided with an invalid AVC ID to validate the transfer. The "connect outstanding" process was begun on Friday afternoon to bypass the AVC ID requirement for you - We apologise for the lack of communication about this.

As I'm sure you're aware, a full refund was issued when the cancellation request was put through, although this may take 3-5 business days to land in your account (depending on your bank)

      • Hi, I haven't yet received my refund, but I noticed that there's been another charge of $50 on my credit card from Solitary Technology, even though my service was never activated or used.

Can you please make sure that both charges (totalling $100) are refunded and no further charges are made.

        • Hi kzl, could you please send through a private message with your email address so I can have a look?
