Seems odd to call it a "system". They look good, but they are really just speakers with a little extra built in.

Weird complaint :\ I believe they're more capable than you think.

      • Not a complaint, just a comment. I've had a look at what they're capable of and they do look good for what they do. Typically, in the audio world a "system" would have at least one audio source. This has none and relies on external sources. Again, not a complaint, more of a remark on how their marketing team have chosen to label their products.

    • "are a complete home music system with bold stereo sound that fills any room. Connect in seconds and stream your music from any app or device via high-definition Bluetooth. "

If you have a phone, you have a system!

      • So, to have a system you have to add something that isn't part of this product, i.e. this isn't a system.

        • i think they are trading on the fact everyone has a phone and since you can bluetooth to it then you can stream or play mp3s or whatever off it (EA "you all have phones right???")

lets put it another way… I'm a traditionalist

one of my "systems" is a 7.2 atmos with a surround receiver with 7.1 speakers

my other "system" is a dac preamp + poweramp + speakers

there's no playback abilty on these as i do not own a cdplayer or dvd br player any more (granted that reciever has a radio on board)

but i have a ps5 and phones and a nas with stuff on them and that's where the source material comes from

        • I guess so? Back in the day we used to buy speakers and amp and call it a hifi system. Not really including a record player.

    • They have passive amplifiers and audio interfaces, they're systems.

  • Used to have the A5+ connected to a Google Chromecast audio that I could beam music to over wifi, it was bonza. Not sure bluetooth is worth the $150 premium over the analogue speakers.
