Cheap decent Bali accomodation Aug 2013

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay for 10 days? Two families each with 2 adults 2 kids.

What's cheap? What is your dollar budget?

I don't have any particular places in mind for the number of people traveling. But have you looked into villas? Bali villas are incredible and are pretty affordable given the quality.

  • Totally depends on what you want - how old are the kids? What location, what do you want to be near? Do you want a kids club on site? Do you want self contained accom or hotel rooms?

  • I was going to mention villas too and hirruken beat me to it.

For two families, you would probably be able to find a villa with the correct amount of rooms for your needs. The bigger your group, the better value a villa tends to be.

Check out flipkey.com , its a bit different to wotif etc in that you need to contact the owner and arrange payment yourself.

Personally i'm staying in a 2 bedroom villa (for 4 people) in Seminyak in March, for around $200AUD per night.

The price per person will come down with larger villas and more people (kids) sharing rooms.

  • Just my 5 cents, I stayed at one of the Aston hotel but not walking distance to Kuta. Decent place AUD $50 /night.

Below is the link. Just accross the road is an awesome indonesian restaurant which is quite nice as well.

I stayed there once. PLeasant, but for their group, I think they can do better for their group.

I turned on the taps in the bathtub and returned to find the tub full of BLACK WATER. I made the house dude empty it and clean it. It just goes to show how filthy the water there can be.

  • We stayed at Villa Coco which is run by Australians. Lots of little things are included with each villa that you would want like mosquito repellant and large containers of filtered water and a kitchen, to name a few. http://www.villacoco.com/
Everything is in walking distance so you don't need to worry about transport costs. It is in the heart of Seminyak.

    Go to Thailand.

  • you can contact [email protected]. she can give you good deal for your Bali trip. I used her travel service and was very satisfied with her. You can discuss with her. But sometimes her reply is not so fast.
Her website is http://www.honeymoonkita.com . but it's not necessarily for honeymooners

  • We went in Feb and had a look at the family rooms at the Adi Dharma Hotel. The rooms looked great and we were quoted $120 a night for a family of 5 including breakfast and transfers.
We have booked again for next Feb

We booked directly with the hotel when we were there , that's how we got the transfers thrown in.
