The 806lm ones aren't even worth buying. 1100lm as minimum. 806 is only ok if you have double light fixtures. Realistically, as you can dim them, you should get brighter than you'd normally need so at least you CAN make it brighter when you need

    • Would a single 1100lm cover a bedroom? I’ve been weighing up the 1100 vs the 1600 one. You’re right 806 definitely wouldn’t be enough

      • My bedroom works fine with a 60w LED smart bulb (about 800lm).

I find it a little too bright if I have it at 100%

        • The "60W" rating is mostly meaningless. It's meant to represent the power rating of an incandescent bulb that would put out a similar amount of light to the LED but manufacturers will fudge it. The lumen rating is the only real way to compare them, with actual power rating (typically 8-15W) a distant second.

    • Pretty sure the website is giving incorrect information - unless its extremely old stock. Only say because the picture says A60 E27, which are 1100lm edison screw bulbs. I don't think Philips Hue even make 806lm E27's.

      • It’s almost certainly old stock. This product listing can’t be reached through their regular smart-home listing filters.

Edit: looks like they’ve redirect the link, I expect it was an old listing OP must’ve found via search engine they didn’t correctly take down.

Brightness is on a log scale. 1100 lumen is just 1.3dB difference.

Either bulb would be adequate for a bedroom light (~100 lux ) but far too little for an office or kitchen.
A pair of 4' linear fluoros will give 7000 lumens, so you need a lot of downlights to replace it.

Kind of agree with this, I've got 2x1600 in a room and often it is not enough.

806 seems to be enough for really small rooms or rooms where you don't need bright lighting. I run 3x or 6x 1100 in the living area

Agree with the comment to always go brighter if you can, if just gives so much more flexibility. Any new globes I buy, I'm going for the brighter option.

Also, worth noting, the brightness rating is based on the white light setting, when set to colour the bulb is much less bright, especially these older globes/version
