Citibank Offers - Anyone Ever Received Offer Payouts / eGift Cards?

I've taken part in multiple offers from spend $x at y store before z date, to take out $x Citibank quickcash for $y eGift card. I've never once had an offer paid out, despite following up on them many times.

I typically follow up every few weeks and get reference numbers to make it very clear it's not a fault of mine and that it's obvious they're avoiding paying out / hoping I'll give up.

Anyone else had this experience? What government agency do I escalate it to? I'm owed around $1,000 in total across eGift cards and cashback offers, all unpaid. Multiple I have reference numbers where they've confirmed on phone call(s) I met all T&Cs (could easily FoI call recordings).

  1. Kayo One Subscription $15/Month for 12 Months - Charged full price (was targeted in the end, though it didn't show up at first. Screenshotted as proof before signing up)
  2. Get $200 Cashback When You Spend $1,500 or More Online at Cathay Pacific - Confirmed eligible, not received. Followed up multiple times, keep getting told I'll hear back within a week, never do.
  3. Multiple targeted ~$25 cashback / other small cashback offers
  4. $250 eGift card on $1,500 ready credit (from memory) in ~2022. Followed up every few months for months on end, kept getting told to 'wait'. Never received.

Ask for compensation as well. Don't accept the first offer, push them for more.

What's the tl;dr on the process for this? Is it lengthy / a lot of stress or worth it?

What's reasonable compensation? It's only around $1000 total, so interest-wise the ~$200-300 of shares interest I missed out on isn't much, but if I can receive compensation for the ridiculous amount of time I've wasted following up that would be highly beneficial. I've spent easily 30+ hours on the phone over this over 3 years. Extensive evidence of this; I make sure to log notes of every single call and have it all available still.

Fool me …. arrr… you cant get fooled again…

    • I’ll eventually follow up on it via further means, I keep logs of all calls and reference numbers. Just wondered if others have the same hassles or it’s just me.

I would just go with someone who doesn't try to screw me over at every opportunity. Any time I did one of these silly offers with amex, it was paid out no issues.

        • Yeah I more focus on AMEX offers now, not one issue with them thus far.
