It’s targeted and the link from the email is single use only hence the screenshot.
Says $10 off the basic sub but it’s also $10 off the 2 screen option.

Cheers OP. Is anyone aware of any deals going for Kayo Premium?
Kayo is poor value for money - No 4k in browser, limit of 2 screens at $40 a month smarts

    • +2

      $30 for the Premium

      • Huge news. Cheers I missed that. Hoping there is a deal that doesn't require a credit card too

Changes to Kayo pricing and packages
Kayo Sports has changed its pricing and packaging structure. From 4 March 2025, Kayo One was renamed to Kayo Standard and Kayo Basic was renamed to Kayo Premium.
The price of Kayo Premium increased from $35 to $40 per month. There was no change to the Kayo Standard pricing.
Existing customer were notified of this change via email throughout February.
Customers billed via Apple were notified of the price change by Apple via email. This email included the date on which your price will change.
        https://help.kayosports.com.au/s/article/Why-has-my-Kayo-price-changed?

In my expert armchair opinion. The service has not improved, just the number of sports 'shows' compared to popular sports.
First, they increased the price, then they moved from 3 screens backwards to 2. Now another large price increase in a cost of living crisis. Kayo is tone deaf. All this while I keep getting crappy free 6 months offers for Binge so I can fatten up their user stats.

yep, been playing around with dodgy iptv streams in preparation for cancelling. it's amazing how many channels that are available.

          • +2

@M00Cow: Are you able to share your experience? Apart from being ripped off by Kayo, my kid is desperate to watch soccer, so I’m also now looking to explore my options. 😔

            • @Gordo7: which soccer? Not that it matters there's hundreds of sports channels just dedicated to soccer. Head on over to IPTVgroupbuy on reddit, read the stickies, I found Tivimate works well for Android TV (bought the lifetime subs), I'm doing a few 1mth trials on various services ~$us3/mth. Remember it's cheap, so you might get some pausing/buffering which is why I'll get two services eventually. But even recently for the cricket ICC trophy, I had a choice of about 15 channels for each match. Plenty of channels have replays & highlights the next day.

Are these bargains in 2025 :(

    • -2

Well, it equates to a saving of 40%, so yes. $ 15 a month to watch various sports (Formula 1, AFL, and Rugby League are the major players, but there are a number of other sports included) uninterrupted for $15 I consider is good value. The $100's of millions of dollars that are spent for the rights of all these sports to be televised need to be paid by someone. You either have commercials or pay for sans ads. How much would it cost to get a Foxtel subscription? How much do people pay a month for a music subscription? And how much renumeration do these sports players or artists get? If you want to be entertained, it is only fair that you pay for the entertainment. The artists, athletes etc are giving you enjoyment, and they need to make a living. Many people seem to want so much for nothing nowadays, but would you work for nothing?

Sorry, I'll get off my bandwagon now.

The point is these pay sites and channels are outbidding the regular tv channels. So we have to pay to watch. Instead of the tv channels getting big money from advertisers. The pay tv companies are getting the publics money and also other ads they play inbetween and on site.

We shouldn't have to pay for something that was and still should be free to watch (with advertisements if necessary). The pay tv companies have already paid. So us paying them does not equal anything more for the players or teams.

There are plenty of free streaming sites now to watch. Nobody needs to pay. Boycott pay sites, so they will bring it back to regular tv where everyone can watch it.

        • +1

Anything shown on free-to-air TV will be paid for by the advertising dollar. If the rights for anything shown on TV increases, then the cost of the advertisements will increase, which will inevitably increase the price of the goods and services from the company. This means everyone has to pay more, regardless of whether they watch that programme. At least with streaming services, it's up to the individual if they pay for it or not. That seems fairer to me. I don't want to go into a supermarket and have to extra for the benefit of others who want to watch things that I have no intention of watching.

  • Good timing for IPL

Exactly, can't wait for matches starting at midnight. Perfect.

    Damn. Literally cancelled Citi yesterday

  • +1

Damn, got the Citi Premier card but no offer.

  • +2

Still too much, $5 is more like it

  • +5

Boycott Kayo (and Foxtel) for taking away Saturday night footy
    -Just my opinion

  • -5

Definitely not a bargain - should be $5 like binge

    • +1

      Binge they should pay me

      • Is Binge that bad? Never tried it but saw the offer.

        • I found the ads unbearable and it seemed to struggle to track where I was up to in an episode.

Ain’t nobody got time for that!

  • +4

Went to cancel my current Premium subscription (hitting my last month of $15 off) so I could utilise this one and was offered $20 off for the next 6 months. Win!

    • Nice one! Unfortunately I was only offered $10 off.

  • Will I be better off getting this for NRL or share Kayo premium with someone else?

    • I think it's only the quality difference? But depending on the device you use, that wont matter

      • For general kayo deals (basic vs one) It's a cost thing. More money but 2 screens, so split costs 50%. 4K on some content is a bonus

        • So does this targeted one have 4k?

  • Anyone have any other "places" to watch afl

    • -1

      google

  • Kayo sports is a disease

  • +1

Kayo is poo, but there's no other viable way to watch AFL on a Saturday without resorting to pirate streams. They can be found but are notoriously unreliable.

  • Got offered $10 cashback on binge instead
