Do You Buy Reusable Vacuum Bags for Your Robot Vac's Self-Emptying Dock?

We recently got a Robovac Qrevo Edge and have been wondering if we should buy disposable bags from Amazon, or reusable ones with a zip?

At $3 ea for a disposable bag, every 2 months, is it worth going through the trouble of emptying and washing reusable bags?

I'd say yes but it depends where your priorities lie

If you value convenience, not having to wash your hands because you got them dirty cleaning a reusable bag or time more than polluting the planet with single use plastic bags, go with the disposable one

If you value money and trying to reduce the number of plastic covering every metre of the planet (including your balls), not caring about the loss of convenience, go reusable

It won't change the unfortunate reality of plastic pollution across the world a single iota, but you may feel slightly superior/sexy. It will also increase the market share for reusable options, encouraging the real polluters (companies) to offer those options more/cheaper

The vacuum bags i use are cardboard and cloth/textile.

      • Shows what I know about robot vacuums (very little)

Are they the official bags? I couldn't see any info about what the connector was made of so assumed it was some sort of recycled plastic, and that the fabric would be polyester or similar because cheap/people don't care

  • The beauty of the vacuum bag system design is that it's no mess. Important for people with allergies or dust sensitivities.

Seems like these re-usable bags are third party replacement. I would stick to the OEM bags.
