Since the vistorian drought ended in 2009 population has increased from 4.1 million to 5.3 million. Call it 25%.
During that drought state governments built the North South Pipeline at around $750 Million, which was never used, and has not been used since.

They also built the desalination Plant for about $4 BILLION, and produced about 0.45 Megalitres vs Thompson Dam at 1,068,000 Megalitre capacity.

And that not going to do a whit to add to Melbourne's water future.
So when they start tslking about essential unfrastructure, like tunnels, ask them why they have ignored protecting and building our future.

No worries, 3 minute showers will do it again. and thank god we have our drought proof gardens.
Or maybe the government could introduce a solar type scheme, where they would subsidise installation of solar connected pumps to push tank water into the grid, and pay us a FIT.

                The lives of the unborn ones that will be the ones productive, non vegetative. They are the future. And it could be a brighter future not a bleak one.

                Of course this is far too hard and not as sweet as forcing others don't reproduce.

                    Hence my response, my proposal that before telling others not to breed THEN eliminating those listed above are a better priority. Hypothetical proposition to a barbaric, opressive proposition.

                    Just re-read everything and respond in context without personal attacks.

                    And yes breeding less humans not only is incorrect as trying to tell others what to do but is equivalent to no breeding. After all what is "less"? 1 child? 3 children? Which ones are allowed to breed less? White people? Black people? Only the rich and powerful?

                      There is nothing barbaric about choosing to have less or no children. That assumption of yours is a deliberate and common ploy.

                          @LFO: BS, I'm all for the move to less breeding, but there is zero social or political guts to do it, becuase it's not trendy to admit population ( the driver of capital growth) should be limited by intelligent adaptation to the circumstances. But hey, if I was King, or more powerful(like Trump) or had more influence, (like the hypocritical pro Trump policy muppet in the vatican) I'd send the opposite message to their insane breed our way into peace and happiness mantra. And since you mention 'ruling' how about condemning the opposite message form the RC church as they strive to get more $$$ in their kitty via babies.

      Yeah the big lizards had the same amount of forest as us and same same pollution,chemicals,plastics,excess salinity,crude oil spills.industrial scale sewage (with all sorts of non biodegradable morsels on board)
