  • i prefer the bottles that have built in filters but this is a nice bottle though.

I grabbed one of these yesterday, should be arriving today. Grabbed the extra lid that has a little storage compartment too. Aiming to get the hot drink lid when it drops below $10.

I have this bottle, bought from the last time it was on sale at Amazon.

It is a great drink bottle, good size. The plastic lid is a bit annoying but overall I recommend it.

    • It kinda defeats the purpose of a stainless steel bottle when you put a plastic lid on. It shows at least be lined with a silicone base.

      • The liquid doesn't sit on the lid though, bit of splash and condensation but majority of the time the liquid is on the steel

I see you haven't met the foot well of my car. damn bottles seem to all congregate there no matter where i put them.

I've got the smaller one and have had it for years, it's a solid bottle and water stays cold for ages.

I like that the lid is magnetic so it doesn't flap about when you're drinking from it.

You should clean the lid regularly though. It gets funky.

Crazy how expensive simple water bottles have become

Thank Mr Green and also Our Ol' Mate Stanley

    • I mean, it is insulated, 1 L capcity, and has some fancy cap mechanism - it's not just a metal bottle

      • Isn't the fancy cap just magnetic?

I'm not expecting them to be $5, but I would have thought $20-25 would be where it sits, not $55+

        • Yeah, 55 seems extreme - CamelBak do seem to be a big brand targeting cyclists (read: dentists :Do) and the like, so I guess they're throwing that around too.

To be clear, I do agree that the price is pretty mental!

  • I have this bottle and had a few in the past that I have lost. They take a beating and are awesome bottles. Far superior to a Yeti. Lighter bottle and offset handle is great to attach bottle to a belt clip.

  • Thank you, got one.

  • Does it fit the car cup holder?

    • +2

Much too big for car cup holders. At least for our Mazda 3 anyway.

    • Not the 1L, though the smaller Camelbaks will fit into a standard holder. You can get adapters for the 1L units, though I've found many hard plastic adapters can't fit into my RAV4's cup holder as there's not enough clearance around the edges of the car's holder. The KMart ones are designed for Frank Green bottles and work ok with mine.

I have a bunch of Camelbak bottles of different sizes, and some insulated, some tritan. It's handy being able to swap the lids around, though if using the Eddy bottles you need to have different straw lengths. The hot/cold ratings are great - not quite Zojirushi sorcery levels, but more than enough for me. I also like that Camelbaks can be put in the dishwasher - not just the lid - though I usually just dishwasher the lids. I

  • Grabbed 3 of these from the last Amazon sale. Great bottles.
