This makes me feel really old. :( For me only the original Doom and Doom 2 are Doom. I just can't recognise these new games as Doom.

    • Same thing with wolfenstein and fallout!

Not to knock the poster, but $99 for a standard copy of a game is just getting ludicrous :/ Thank god for game pass

Steam sales are a pretty good option if you can avoid the FOMO on new titles.
Cant wait to play Black Myth Wukong sometime next year 😁

Yeah get it but it’s one of the OG AAA titles I think $100 is warranted for 4 years work by the devs to be honest.

        So GTA6 should be $200?

    Same price at Fanatical too

But also just a really good time to sign up to PC gamepass. Clair Obscur, Oblivion remake, Avowed and Stalker 2 all came out recently.

Yeah, no chance. I'll wait for a sale. Screw this predatory pricing.

Recently Microsoft seems to keep prices high (I guess they are trying to drive people to get Game Pass by making Game Pass seem cheap?)

Indiana Jones is still very expensive ($100-$120) on Xbox even though it was released 6 months ago. Starfield is also very expensive in many places, even though that was released almost 2 years ago.

Doom will get cheaper eventually for sure. But it might take a while…

Especially because Microsoft seems to not make many physical copies of games anymore. So the used market will be limited.
