Dewalt Combo Kit DCK2201P1T1-XE + 2x 5Ah Batt + $100 Bonus Points $550 C&C /+ Del (Redeem Angle Grinder) @ Sydney Tools

360

Same as Bunnings deal, plus $100 bonus points and a tool trolley/bag

This 18V XR 2 Piece Combo Kit includes:

  • DCD1007 18V XR 3 Speed Hammer Drill Driver
  • DCF860 18V XR 3 Speed Impact Driver,
  • 1 x DCB546 18V/54V XR FLEXVOLT 6.0Ah Battery Pack,
  • 1 x DCB184 18V XR 5.0Ah Battery Pack,
  • DCB118 18V XR 8A Fast Charger and
  • Heavy Duty TSTAK Case.

Also, receive 2 x 5.0A Batteries in store.

You can also redeem a 1 x DCG406N-XJ 18V Brushless 125mm Angle Grinder Skin Retail Price $331.50 via Guaranteed Tough

You also get $100 worth of bonus points (which I intend to use to buy drill bits etc), and a DeWalt trolley tool bag for spending $500 on DeWalt. Makes it better than the Bunnings deal.

This is one of the most powerful drills on the market, the only one capable of keeping up with the Bosch GSB-18V 150C. Has anti kickback, and the auxiliary handle is actually usable unlike the joke with the Bosch. The impact driver is also top-notch, and goes toe to toe with the Milwaukee Gen 4 (the Milwaukee has a tendency to crap itself and break gear teeth though).

PS. I have heard that these 6Ah flexvolt batteries can be temperamental.

  • To get the free bag the $500 spend must be on dewalt storage items not tools.

    • Thanks! The banner is transparent and I couldn't see the text properly against the black background. Fixed.

  • +1

Good luck getting the $100 bonus points, despite it being plastered all over the listing for this item and in the cart when you check out their own terms and conditions contradict it.

"An item advertised in a concurrent promotion at a reduced sale price or with a bonus will be excluded from accumulating Bonus Points."

    • "Products eligible for bonus points will be advertised online with a "Bonus Points Banner" located on the product listing"

The price reduction to $550, the free batteries and the redemption are all promos by Dewalt directly rather than by Sydney Tools as far as I'm aware

      • Hopefully I get a better staff member this time then, last time I ordered from them they refused to honour it due to a discount.

        • +2

Order on line for click and collect, it's added to your account at checkout/cart.

          • @Bertus: Yeah, just like Total Tools.

          • @Bertus: Last time I did click and collect from sydney tools it said store had to allocate points, they didn't sawing what the person above said, not eligable, even though the cart showed the bonus points I should earn.
Although the catalouge clearly shows bonus points: https://sydneytools.com.au/p/catalogue

  • These are so cheap, after selling the two bonus batteries and the angle grinder, it's even cheaper than Ozito.

    • How much are people selling the angle grinder for

  • Same as Bunnings deal, plus $100 bonus points

Note that if you want delivery, Bunnings is free whereas Sydney Tools costs at least $119 in NSW, $130 VIC, $237 WA…

  • Is the hammer drill powerfull enough for drilling into bricks?

    • +1

It is one of the most powerful drills on the market right now, and with a decent masonry bit it will absolutely go through brick no issues.

That said, if you drill a lot of concrete or brick, an SDS+ rotary hammer will be a lot quicker

      • Thanks for the reply.
Only the odd mounting of stuff into the garage where we have bricks (e.g. a new peg board going up shortly)
Currently i have this corded Ozito which seems to struggle even with a masrony bit.
        https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-710w-hammer-drill_p0299328

Started getting into woodworking so this would replace my Ozito cordless as well.

      • +1

Yes, get an SDS. The first time you use it on something like dense concrete it you'll wonder why you messed around with bog standard hammer drills for so long.

        • Ozito have a $99 corded 1500W rotary hammer that makes a mean-ass punch (5J of impact energy)

    • If you need to drill 2 holes, sure it'll work, if you're going to drill more than a couple a year than definitely just get a rotary hammer drill, its an absolute night and day difference!

  • 3yr warranty though right?

    • Yep, which is a bit of a shame considering even Ozito offer longer

      • I have been looking at AEG because of the 6yr warranty but this is still a good deal

        • I was looking at the comparable AEG kit, the Fusion 2-piece. It's $599 with a free additional 5AH battery at Tool Kit Depot atm, and you get to choose a tool or extra battery through redemption.

          • +1

@twister292: I was initially going to get that, but for value I ended up with the 4pc kit for 999 and a Makita circular saw blade to make it a 1k spend, got the 200 gift card and a multitool via redemption. So 5 AEG tools for 800 by my method of justification

The wording is a bit unclear but if you register it with DeWalt (within 4 weeks of purchase) I think you get another 3 years warranty

        • I can't find anything about an extended warranty here upon registration… Am I missing something?

          • +1

@keongyip: How do I register my DEWALT Power Tool for the 3 Year extended warranty ?

Users can extend the warranty of their DEWALT tools for up to 3 years. Simply subscribe to MYDEWALT, follow the instructions to register your product, and add it to your Tool Overview within 4 weeks of purchase. To subscribe, click here.

        • I think the interpretation may be incorrect. I registered the product in mydewalt and its not 6 years. I wonder if the words 'extended' may be referring to a warranty above what is listed elsewhere? Here's how it shows up for me:
          Warranty Status: Extended
          3 Years: Active
          Warranty End Date
          15/05/2028
          Registration Date
          16/05/2025
          Purchase Date
          15/05/2025

          • @mrh68: From my understanding, it's a 6 year warranty, 3 years standard plus an additional 3 years extended. But you can always contact them directly to confirm.

            • @jimojr: I had a similar experience to @mrh68 when I registered tools and contacted customer service but they just repeated the above wording - so I've asked again for clarification. I'm hoping it's the 6 years it sounded like…

              • @mrdr: Reply I got from dewalt:
"Thank you for contacting us about the extended warranty of your tool. We truly sorry for the confusion about our extended warranty and We appreciate your recent purchase and for choosing our brand as your companion in your daily task.

Our DEWALT power tools has granted only the 3 year warranty from the date of purchase. The registration is only optional. Just keep the receipt of your tool for warranty claim purposes. In addition, You can check our our warranty information to the link provided below as it is not showing the 6 y

                https://service.dewalt.com.au/DEWALT/AU/en-AU/Article/GetArt…

We appreciate your time and cooperation. If you still have further questions, make sure to reach out back to us and we will gladly assist you."

                • @kamelataturd: Thanks @kamelataturd. I'm still waiting to hear from DeWalt but that's what it was sounding like… Seems a bit strange that the registration doesn't extend it at all.

  • Stock is running really thin around Melbourne

  • Has anyone received bonus points yet? I collected it from store but no points have been awarded yet.

    • You don't get points, you get store credit. Ask the store staff they can confirm. Mine were applied immediately and have 3 year expiry

      • I talked to the staff and they are clueless. The website says that you will get points. I have sent an email to their head office. I hope they sort it out.

      • Mine was the same. The store staff noted that it is confusing, as the store account isn't linked to the online account. My online account showed no points, however, in store it showed 1000. I've never been into the store before but did order for click and collect.

        • Go the reply back that the bonus points have been added to my in-store account and cannot be viewed online. Weird. I didn't know that there is an in-store account that is separate from online account. They should put it clearly during checkout process.

  • All Melbourne stores sold out

  • never ever buy any tools from Sydney tools again, head office said they are refused to add bonus points to my account because I bought 2 sets for reselling.
