Do you have package for sigenstor batteries only?

    • +1

Yes, we do offer SigenStor battery-only packages. Since the Sigen system allows AC coupling to your existing switchboard, it’s technically possible to add the battery without changing your current solar setup.

However, please note that this may not be the most financially efficient option, especially when compared to a full integrated system (solar + hybrid inverter + battery).

If you'd like, we can assess your current system and provide a tailored quote. Just send us your current set up, and we’ll take it from there.

    • I come to the comment to ask exactly the same thing. Thank you.

      • The current price for a Sigen 6.0 SP + 24.0 kWh SigenStor Battery is approximately $16,000 (supplied & installed, incl. GST)

You may wish to wait for the official rebate announcement post–1 July, so you can potentially secure that rebate and bring the final battery price down to around $7,600.

This offer appears much more transparent than the [VIC] GreenaGEN Solar post earlier today.
Decent prices for the solar packages and clearly addressing savings when applying rebates for the battery.
Don't know the company (as I'm in QLD) so do your own research, but prices look good - especially for the 24kW battery!

    • +1

can you recommend one for Brisbane?

      • +1

I'm GC based and can only recommend Lucio and the team at Energy Solution Centre, Nerang. Not sure if they service Brisbane but worth enquiring, honest people who do great work and will answer any questions you have.

Thank you for the feedback ,

We aim to keep our offers clear, especially with so much uncertainty around upcoming rebates

  • Hi OP, I've already got 13KW solar panels system, so what's the price for 24 kWh of batteries, including everything I need and blackout protection, on a single-phase setup? Thanks!

    • If you have a hybrid inverter you're all set to add a battery with blackout backup, if not you're looking at replacing your inverter or going for a something like a Tesla powerwall

    • The current price for a Sigen 6.0 SP + SP Gateway + 24.0 kWh SigenStor Battery is approximately $16,000 (supplied & installed, incl. GST) — before any federal rebate is applied.

With the expected Federal rebate of $350/kWh, you could receive up to $8,400 back on a 24 kWh battery system — which would significantly reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

You may wish to wait for the official rebate announcement post–1 July, so you can potentially secure that rebate and bring the final battery price down to around $7,600.

      • So I need to replace my current inverter with a hybrid. Also, can we stack the NSW battery ($3700 for 24 kWh) rebate on top of the federal rebate?

        • It is not necessary to replace your current inverter, Sigen system allows AC coupling to your existing switchboard,

Additionally, the price we've provided already includes the NSW rebate, so you’re getting the benefit of that discount in the current offer.

          • @MES: Okay. What's the maximum output rating of the system? Is it 5 kWh? If so, how much does it cost to upgrade to 8 kWh or 10 kWh?

            • @san87: The Sigen 6.0 SP model provides a maximum continuous output of 6 kW. If you're looking to upgrade to 8 kW or 10 kW output, you'd be looking at the Sigen 10.0 SP/TP models, $1200 difference

              • @MES: Thanks, I'm thinking of getting it installed in a few months. I’ll contact you then.

      • I like your number being $350/kWh, I understood the raw rebate would be ~$370/kWh. However, Solar Quotes is apparently using only $330/kWh. Whilst your number is better, is this common in the industry? I would have thought the scheme would make it illegal for installers to take any % of the actual rebate and deny the homeowner anything but 100%?

        • +1

You're on the mark—there's often some confusion around rebate figures due to how they’re applied in practice.

Fees taken by aggregators or trading platforms, similar to what we already see with the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS)—where the theoretical credit may be ~$2.40, but after platform fees and trading spreads, installers typically receive around $2.00.

          • @MES: Seems to reduce the desired impact of the rebate and open up for rorting… hmmm you'd think govt would know something about giving out rebates by now, not good. So basically you can't know how much is going to be taken by the supplier, you can only compare the final price to choose.

      • Is the price of $7,600 after federal and state rebate (NSW) or would it be less with NSW rebate added in (if so what would be price after applying both rebates)?

  • I couldn't find your ABN on your website.
Also, it didn't mention that you are a member of the Clean Energy Council.

Are you using a contractor or an in-house installer?

    • Very valid questions, I would like to know this as well. I'm looking at a full solar system install (panels + hybrid inverter + battery) and getting a few quotes at the moment.

    • +6

      Thanks for your questions :

-Our ABN is: 75 670 592 202 (Matrix Energy Solar) — we’ll look at adding it to the website for transparency.
-Regarding CEC membership — the Clean Energy Council no longer offers company memberships. It has been replaced by the Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) framework-Me myself as full-time SAA designer
-We use our own in-house team, including both roofers and licensed electricians .

We’re happy to provide more info

      • Thanks for the reply, I think good to have the SAA membership mentioned on the website as well.

Another question: Can the system handle a blackout for backup power?

        • Thank you for the suggestion — we agree,

Regarding your question about backup power during a blackout —Yes, it's possible.
The SigenStor system, when paired with the Sigen Gateway, can provide backup power to selected essential circuits during a grid outage.

        • +1

SigenStor looks to be relatively low power output on a single phase - the 10kWh model will provide max 5kw output.
Highly recommend anyone interested in a system to use the resources available on solar quotes, e.g. the battery comparison table: https://www.solarquotes.com.au/battery-storage/comparison-ta…

  • Just how much area do each of those systems need? Is 36 and 60 sqm accurate or would you need more?

    • 8kW Recommended with spacing/tilt/mounting: ~36–38 m²,

      13.2kW Recommended with spacing/tilt/mounting: ~60–65 m²,

Obstructions like chimneys, skylights, or vents will reduce usable space,

Shading can also affect panel placement,

  • How can I figure out how many KW will I need?

    • +1

Figure out how much concurrent power you draw at anytime

    • +1

      It depends on:

Your Average Energy Usage and Your Desired Coverage:

As a rough guide, here’s how system size generally correlates to usage:

      8 kW system – For large households(around 30 kWh/day)

13.2 kW system – For homes with high usage (over 40 kWh/day)

  • How much cost of solar without rebate?

    • +1

      Quick rough breakdown of 13.2kW:

      Total System Price
      $12,662.00

      STC Point of Sale Discount
      $4,672.00

      Purchase Price
      $7,990.00

  • Upvote for the rep being open and supportive

    • Really appreciate that,

      Thanks

  • Has anyone dealth with this company. Are they legit. Hope not one of those dodgy cowboy companies that disappear after a year.

    • +1

Also, we’ve had some great feedback from previous customers—feel free to check out their reviews on our earlier posts.

Let us know if you have any questions or would like to schedule a site visit.

  • Would you do installation for a battery for a ground floor unit apartment (above lock in garages) but relatively near the electric switchboard?
This assumes strata approval of course.

    • As long as installation is approved by your strata, DNSP and complies with the required battery clearances and safety regulations, we’d be happy to assist with the setup.

  • Do you need the gateway to take advantage of the emergency back up circuit incase of a blackout? Or is the battery capable of blackout back up by itself?

    • +1

Yes, only with the gateway, you can have the back up incase of a blackout

  • I have this inverter with my existing solar setup, is it hybrid?

    https://solar.huawei.com/au/professionals/all-products/SUN20…

    • Yes

      • So if i add sigenstor, it could be DC coupled?

I'll message for a full quote

  • I just got a solar system installed by MES. Fronius inverter with Jinko panels. Great communication by email and over the phone with Nick. Inhouse installers were punctual. Competitive pricing. I recommend them.
