Just arrived in Dubai.
I have an old $20 Aldimobile monthly plan on auto recharge.
And 0 PAYG balance in my acc.
I seem to be able to use roaming data for some reason. Some sort of glitch?
Has anyone experienced the same thing?
If i keep using it, any possibility of bill shock in the future? Afaik aldi mobile is completely prepaid.
Yes it charges my card automatically every month rather than me manually adding the plan. This plan does not include any international roaming. In fact none of the aldi mobile plans include international roaming. PAYG credit is required for that.
Update: it has finally cut me off roaming data.
I guess it was a glitch after all.

I believe you might have gotten a tiny bit of free data as part of being able to order a roaming package. Its that catch 22, you need data to sign up for the roaming data package.
Wouldn't "auto recharge" suggest it has a method to recharge with? Otherwise, it wouldn't be automatic.
