  • I bought one recently from Aldi but its not working any more

Take it back and ask for a refund. ACL is on your side if the purchase was recent and it hasn't been misused.

  • Learnt the lesson at Aldi. I avoid most of their specials that use batteries or electricity. Return it for a refund & look for some with better reputation by review.

What strength? You can get LED strips that run from a USB connection. Pair that with a powerbank and hey presto! a battery powered usb strip.

    • Yeah thanks for suggestion, this is good option @outlander
Do you recommend any specific LED strips that run from a USB connection.?

      • Need more information. Nobody can really advise you of anything accurately without knowing what you plan to use them for.

There's led strips for marking out areas, like steps on a deck. These can be low powered. Then there's led strips for lighting up areas in the kitchen. These need to be quite bright because you are using the light to see by. You can run them off a battery, but they draw so much power they won't last long.

I wouldn't overthink it. Kmart has 3m led strips for $16, the price of a cheap meal

Or you can go ebay/aliexpress for a few dollars. Sometimes they're duds, but if you're not running them 24/7 they are usually pretty good.

  • Battery like 12v for camping , or running of aa/aaa/ powerbank?

    • running of aa/aaa/ powerbank

  • bunnings had some a year or two ago. Lytworx brand.

I bought a pink one which plugged into a box with space for three AA's inside. it also came with a USB adapter so you can power it that way if you wanted as well.

    • Thanks @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm , are these controllable via mobile app? or you have to switch these on/off manually everytime?

      • no app. but I don't think I have ever seen one that runs on battery and also has an app.

the more permanent expensive Lytworx that plugs into the wall might have an app on the app store but it definitely doesn't connect with the cheap ones I linked. control on and off with a switch on the box that's about it.
