$25 seems cheap to me but I have to buy extra length pants so have no idea what the going rate is.

If you stay away from the shopping centres and go to a run down old shop, these sorts of services are always cheaper it’s the same for barbers and cobblers.
Roger's Shoe Repairs at the eastern end of Redfern is a great example of this.
Marketplace or some old duck that’s local is usually $20 each.

If you buy from Uniqlo, chinos/jeans over a certain amount get free length alterations. Unfortunately for me, I get it on sale and don't exceed that threshold, so I do it for free … and fold it up.
Not sure how much jeans would be but my go to is Lily's Alterations near World Square in the arcade.
