Good Cooler Sales Anywhere ?

Hi All,

I’m looking for a hard cooler about 25L to just leave in the car boot when doing groceries to put things like veggies, fish, frozen food etc to keep cool. So don’t have to rush home right after buying groceries to store in the fridge.

Any good sales on at the moment or any recommendations ?

TIA ❤️

    • Thats mad bro

  • You sure you want a hard cooler? I use a soft cooler bag which does fine keeping things cold for an hour or two and it isn't a PITA taking up space in the car boot.

  • Maybe consider a Fridge/Freezer? Like a Kings Escape 30 Fridge/Freezer + Fridge Cover.

Are you also using a chiller bag ?

How long is your drive from the supermarket to home? If you are talking 1 hour, sure, get something. But like 5 to 10 mins, why bother?

Yesterday we did grocery shopping, dropped into kmart and then went home (maybe 15 mins?) and all our stuff was still frozen/cold.

Yeti do some nice hard coolers, but expensive. You can get cheaper 'replica' types if you shop around. Maybe Anaconda,BCF,Kings etc.
There used to be stalls filled with bargain priced hard coolers doing the show and fair circuit. So maybe larger outdoor markets have them. Make sure you check the inside VS outside dimension for the internal space you want. The walls are pretty thick on the better ones. Also fix it in the boot somehow so it isn't canon balling around in there.. As others have said, soft coolers are a viable option. You could put a medium inside a large to double the thermal efficiency, and it pays to wrap colder and frozen stuff in a towel.

EDIT, Or get a polystyrene foam box with lid and give it a protective gaffer tape skin to help protect it.

Techni-ice perform better than Yeti, are cheaper and Aussie made.

      • Good to know.

      • Were u buyin the Techni-ice

        • It's the signature series that beats out the Yeti. I bought the classic one which has been able to keep items cold for three days with 4 frozen milk jugs and a bag of ice.
