Local sim from Indo and Malaysia are cheaper than this.

Yup. Used eight.com.sg recently. S$8.88 for 288GB in Singapore, 10GB roaming in neighbouring countires, and 2GB roaming elsewhere in the world.

      • Thanks

      • Next time try Vivifi from SG

        $15

        400GB Local Data
600GB Roaming Data to Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand (365 Days)
        800 Outgoing Local Minutes
        100 Outgoing Local SMS
15GB Roaming Data to 13 Destinations:
Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan & India

Think should be sufficient for most of the people.

Vivifi do not allow non-SG residents to sign up. (Eight do, on the plan I mentioned above)

      • Am I correct in thinking that the eight.com.sg esim can only be activated in Singapore?

        • Yes. Once it connects to the SG network then you can use it elsewhere. I purchased it and installed the eSIM before I left Australia, then activated it on transit in Singapore before going to a neighbouring country (and then back to Singapore a few days later)

  • Klook cheaper

  • Also check out Jetpack, grabbed one for a trip on the previous deal, worked great. The free one from 28 degrees was more hit and miss, unless settings were getting confused (flexiroam).

    • Both Klook and Jetpac have slightly cheaper packs. But they are based in Singapore. esimoutlet.com is based in Melbourne. I'd prefer to support local businesses (as long as they are not outrageously expensive!)

      • Yes whatever suits as long as they work and are a similar price 👌.

Totally a scammer, hard to activate their e-sim plans in airport. Cannot believe their qr code in email doesn't come with a white background unless you set your phone theme to bright to scan it. The biggest issue is I purchased two e-sim plans for my Japan traveling, their website stated the carrier is NTT Docomo(much more reliable), however, after the activation, it turned out the carrier is actually IIJLite, the cheapest carrier as I know in Japan.

Imagine you are a tourist come to Australia, an e-sim plan provider stated the carrier would be Vodafone, but it is actually Kogan or Catch

    • Hello. We are curious in which city the carrier was IIJLite? As a retailer we have little control with which carrier the operator operate within the city in your destinations, but we can try our best to report these issue to the wholesalers.

We try our best to provide the best UI UX on our website / email. Please reach out to support to provide more information and we are more than happy to resolve it for you.

    • ESims sound good in theory but a lot of the time it's just easier and better to get a sim card in that country (I think I got one from bic camera and just get a Japanese person to call to activate it).
