FightMND Big Freeze 11 Beanie $25 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store/ OnePass) @ Bunnings

3418

Not a ‘bargain’ per se, but genuinely great value for money and for a truly worthy cause. They’re warm, high-quality, and all profits go directly to funding research and care for people living with MND. A small price to pay to be part of something big!
Also available at Coles, and https://fightmnd.org.au/

Got mine already, very warm in this chilly weather!

All for supporting the fight MND cause i dont think $25 a beanie is "good value" but happy to support the cause in this case

    • +9

Acrylic too. If the objective is to donate it'd make sense to drop the steep asking price.

      • You'll find lot of beanies are if hypoallergenic

      • -2

Your statement is inherently contradictory. Donation = 0 cost

    • Did you buy the beanie?

  • +13

    Not a ‘bargain’

I agree, everywhere has them this price.

This is a bargain website not a mum group on Facebook.

          • +10

@Annan: I think you are missing the point. This is posted as a bargain on a bargain website.

If you want to show support or raise awareness of a charity or charitable purchase, there is a forums section on OzBargain.

This post is not a bargain

Edit: look at the first 5 words of the OP

Worthy cause. I bought the beanies and socks.

The beanies this year are the worst they've been. It just doesn't fit as well as previous years. Just try it on before you buy. The socks are pretty cosy though.

Good cause. Daughter has already pinched the pin to put on her work lanyard - spread the message!

    • pinched the pin

      ?

$25 for an acrylic beanie?! Not even close to a deal.

      Missing the point

As are you - it belongs in the forums.

    Imagine negging this cause 🤯

Advertising, all-be-it for a good cause, but not a bargain.

    • +4

Agree. This ain't gofundme. But the site could do with hosting a cause occasionally maybe with a link up top.

    • +3

Advertising, all-be-it for a good cause, but not a bargain.

      lol

I have never seen someone spell 'albeit' in such a hilarious manner before…

  • +13

Yeah, let's be honest -despite the good cause-it is certainly not a bargain.

  • Just need em to make gloves with it

  • +6

    Moral hijacking advertisements

  • +5

full priced…. not the right site

  • Shall I post a link to buy a 'red nose' for Red Nose day? It's not a bargain but it's for a good cause.

    NO DEAL!

  • -3

Tough crowd. Great cause, great legacy. Plenty of other deals to make a stand on RE not a bargain.

  • +4

    Sorry - not a bargain.

  • +4

I think our Coles had them for 38 cents.
But missus wanted plain color ones and paid 50 c each.

    • +1

      Now, that's a bargain!

      • Sure after I had paid $3 each for a pair with an inbuilt light.

  • -3

Weird how people will allow all sorts of BS on here like "free show on Channel 10" but will draw the line on supporting MND.

    • I gave you a plus not because I think this post should be listed as a deal but because my line is somewhere around "free" SBS content posts.

Great cause, no doubt—but full-priced charity items don’t really belong here. OzBargain’s meant for actual discounts and savings.

There are plenty of great causes—cancer research, disaster relief, child education—even some more debated ones like animal rights.

Wrong platform for this kind of post.

Look at their charity disclosures and how much admin and employment costs.

No bargain, wrong place to post it!

  • +1

Sorry OP, it's a good cause, but this doesn't qualify as a bargain

  • +1

Great cause but knowing Bunnings they probably negotiated for lower cost and big rebate to line their profits

  • +1

Ozbargain.. good cause but not the right platform

  • +2

I have to agree, this is a great cause but it’s a slippery slope if we start making exceptions for “worthy causes” I’d have no problem with OzB creating a section for charitable causes and I might even check it out every so often but this isn’t the place as well just end up with similar things popping up every other day.
Love the sentiment, not the place. Just my 2c

  • +1

I can't see how this classifies as a bargain. Definitely should be on the forums

    • -1

It doesn't, but all the Facebook bleeding heart SJWs have been leaking into other parts of the internet and making a mess.

      Great cause, wrong location.
