yep red dead online is in fact dead.. much less player count compared to gta online but same number of cheaters ahaha
story mode is worth full price no doubt
That's a shame, is that just Aus servers? Seen some hilarious ytube vids of rp multiplayer
Theres red dead online and then theres the roleplayer servers like WildRP.
Roleplay servers are a whole different beast and are hilarious. I find red dead online is just getting hunted by racist tweens.
red dead online is just getting hunted by racist tweens
Isn't this all online gaming now??
still going through red dead one lol i did finished about 50% of red dead 2 though
I did reverse. Played an ungodly amount of RDR2… haven't gone past the menu of RDR1
Yeah, I’d say $22 for one of, if not the greatest video game of all time is pretty good.
this or cyberpunk?
This
Pretty different but I got into Red Dead way more than I did Cyberpunk.
I really ought to give Cyberpunk another go, but alas1000% Cyberpunk. I've tried 3 times to understand what people see in this game. It's super slow, hand holding, combat is boring… it's a walking sim
I bounced off it twice.
Third time, I just ran a mission each night until it truly clicked.
Now it’s my GOAT, overtaking Deus Ex, Fallout 2 and BG:2 SoA.Do you know what changed when it clicked? Am I maybe misunderstanding the combat?
I love seeing video game worlds, it's what attracts me to long games with large worlds, but I also thought the world design in RDR2 was built using only pretty standard western tropes without much new to offer.
I really want to get the same experience as others who liked it. I've sunk 20 hours into it. I just can't understand why anyone even likes it, let alone praises it for one of the best games ever
Fallout 2 and BG2 that's a big call!
Having played both, its entirely up to your preferences.
I found the gameplay loop of RDR2 extremely slow and oftentimes excruciating. It's a beautiful game, with incredibly detailed systems and it looks amazing. However, I've never been too into the whole "wild west" genre so it was quite a slog at times.
Cyberpunk, OTOH, is right up my alley and I played it and enjoyed it immensely upon release (in our extremely rough "shit " state).
So for me, the answer would be Cyberpunk.
Both.
They're completely different games, hard to do an apples to apples comparison IMO
So play both and make up your own mind :)
Both. Seriously, both.
Why not both? Also get yourself Baldur's gate 3 and you will have three best games for past, fantasy and future released in recent years.
this game is clunky af - whole different button layouts per activity/context - not my thing personally
I played this game to death. Loved every single minute of it.
These days, I game to get out of my head, escape work etc. each night.
This was EXACTLY what I needed. Then I did the same with CP.
Boring answer: Why not both.
Is it good on Steam Deck LCD?
Doesn't run the best but is playable
I thought this was one of the most boring games I've ever played… No idea what people see in it
My kid was keen to try this. Owned it from a while ago, downloaded from Epic and could not get it to work after reinstalling.
Game installs but the Social Club craps out with an error and goes no further. GTA 5 has same issue now.
Lots of people on steam with same issue when i google searched.
If anyone knows a good fix happy to try. It was a decent game when i played through on release, weird graphic glitches from memory two floating eyeballs riding a horse through town was the most memorable one.
I found the gameplay cycle to be very slow and sometimes boring.
I agree. Shallow and pedantic.
GOAT story
Appreciate gameplay slow at stages but that’s part of its beautyWonder if they are about to increase the RRP here too like they just did in the UK.
Whoa! Why did they do that?
Single player is GOAT hands down.
I wish I could play this for the 1st time again.Love this game, started it 4 days ago and been spending majority of my nights on it. brings me back to playing rdr on PS as a kid
cheaper at greenman gaming for $19 but can pick epicgame or Rockstar Games Social Club platfrom. the Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition is $26.39

Multiplayer is dead in the water. Online is grindy and gets boring.
In saying that 22 for the story alone is worth every cent.
