sounds good - can play on digital to familiarize myself before joining a board game night..
Yep, there is a pretty helpful tutorial round, although there is an introductory way of setting up the physical game which is very helpful too.
I still struggled to learn the rules after doing the tutorial, had to find one on youtube that did a better job of explaining it.
Exceptional game though, only issue I have is they didn't optimise it for handheld, the icons are all too small. I think it's a game that only really works on the big screen.
Evidently still too early in the morning for me.
I saw the title, thought that's a great price! Then saw the store and thought, "Why are Nintendo selling board games?"Don't worry, I've already facepalmed myself.
ah - sorry to disappoint! 😅
My wife is addicted to this. You can also play for free through the web browser. The actual boardgame is very pretty, one of the best designed boardgames I've seen.
I've had this since it came out. Can't wait for the Asia expansion.
Finspan is such a great idea too! With all the various species of fish - having the nice artwork. Very keen to try it, looking forward to a digital release.
$14.99 - great deal. Cheers OP!
Surely the Oceania expansion is an absolute must have as well - 20% off from $17.75 to $14.20
I resisted for a long time, but very rarely play digitally without it now. I think it does a great job of opening up non-egg strategies.
Not a game with the kind of depth that's going to impress the hardcore boardgame aficionados out there, but it's incredibly charming and very zen. I've only played the digital version on PC, but as long as it holds up on the Switch from a technical standpoint, I can easily imagine it being an excellent portable title.
Already got it on Steam and my tablet, but getting great value out of all of them. Clocked up something like 100 hours between them.
One of the great board games, and one of the great digital adaptations.
