Found this on AMazon UK. Not sure if its a good price
Next G 850Mhz according to specs.
Ebay has it for $399

The ones selling at Kogan for $219 + shipping and Unique Mobile for $249 + shipping and NOT Next G compatable.

Just beware about the warranty as this would be a UK import, unsure about how warranty would work in OZ

this is absolutely the best phone you could buy your kid or wife or even yourself at this price point. with 7.8 coming out over the next month hands down best phone for this price.

Except if they actually want to run many of the apps that other people see on their phones and won't be annoyed by the fact that they cannot run Windows 8 apps.

These are the two online sellers which I usually check about a mobile phone price.

Delivered price is higher in these two sites. So a + from me :).

Great deal if you have your heart set on an 800, though I would be holding out just a bit for the Lumia 620 WP8 phone (similar-ish price bracket as this deal) that's slowly making its way out to market..

    • $279 + $19 for the Lumia 620 here with choice of colours and pentaband too. Runs WP8 and has expandable memory via microSD with quadband 3G (3G 850, 3G 900, 3G 1900, 3G 2100) and FFC.

As much as I love the Lumia 800 for being the original Nokia WP handset, I agree and think the 620 is probably worth the extra coin.

      • Its an import so buying from amazon is still ~ $80 cheaper

DETAILS BELOW *If you the customer purchases more than one unit and exceeds the $1000 AUD GST FREE you the importer are responsible for the associated duties, fees

        • Never disputed it was an import and I did say "the 620 is probably worth the extra coin", in this case $80 :)

Let's just say in 2 years time the 620 will be faring far better than the 800. I'm on WP7.5 now and new apps are primarily coming out for WP8. Expandable memory is a huge benefit too, I'm out of space with my 24GB now but can put a cheap 32GB card in and have 40GB just like that.

edit: made an error in my OP, it's not pentaband, rather quad as I mention later.

    • Exactly what I was going to say. Despite the lower model number, 620 is certainly going to be a better deal because of the upgradeability.

  • and that's exactly why the 800's are going so cheap - it's a 'runout' price

    • again the mobicity one is not Next G , the one i posted is 850 mhz next G compatible

Apps such as SKYPE or FRING can't run in background on this win 7.5 ( meaning you can't use the app while on the main menu ) nor much customization . I have a windows phone its no way is a SMART phone by anyway. If you are not someone who buys phone as tool, then its ok to have this .
