Built in siren and applies brakes if not unlocked with phone app or PIN. Apple Find My integrated.

I have this scooter and it does neither of those things if the scooter is off.

        • Not to mention that even when on, it gives up the breaks to not damage it after a few moments pushing…

Some crack junkies finally stole mine, the first time I was able to track using “find my” on iphone
2nd time the damn junky took it apart!

I know u are joking but if you look like homeless tattooed junky, u are part of the problem, why tf junkies don’t go after the rich!?

    • Thx, picked unlocked one this mrng.

  • 450w or 900w motor? Description and specifications are different?

    • 900w is peak output for the motor, e.g under acceleration.

Waiting for the "illegal in public in SA" comments

    • +3

Hey guys, i think these might be illegal in public in sa :O

    • +1

Thanks was planning to ride this around Australia, have to go another plan

    • illegal in public in SA. I live in QLD though.

  • -1

Is it true lots of states are now reviewing the public use of these e-scooters? That would be good as I am a clutz and always fall off my bike.

    • +12

If you're falling off your bike then you won't do well with these smaller wheeled vehicles.

      • -2

I have good lower body balance but poor control over bikes. The kickscooters work well for me.

        • Ive got both an ebike and an escooter that can hit 40+km/h on flat roads.

Scooter is scary as hell when going fast/hard accel, it's much much harder to ride than a bike.

          • On a kick scooter you move your mass and drag the scooter along. Escooters move and drag you along, unless you got a seat your hunkering down on those handlebars and hope you don't hit a rock and yank it to one side.
          • smaller wheels have less gyro - Can't tilt like a motor GP pro
          • smaller handlebars make turning super sensitive plus most of the bars go higher than a kick scooter (chest area vs groin/hip on a kick)
          • +1

@krisspy: ok, i admit have big balls and bikes don't work for me. Happy now?

          • @krisspy: I've got an ebike that can go 40+km/hr and an escooter that can go 65+km/hr.
Escooter is fine around 32km/hr, anything over that feels scary as shit. Ebike feels relatively safe no matter how fast you go.
Escooter is ultimate lazy mode though, so gotta love it.

Bought this in last December and really enjoyed riding it
once riding eScooter with suspensions never looking back to those without
with my weight (~100kg) still no issue in climbing moderate hills and maintain around 17-19km/h speed in sport mode

  • can a fat guy ride these without looking ridiculous

    • +4

Mate, get a mobility scooter instead. Bariatric ones are available depending on your size.

    • It’s rated at 120kgs like most adult scooters. If ur heavier than that, ur best bet is to get an ebike instead.

      • +1

Best bet is to walk (assuming your mass is mainly fat)

    • A plus is people dont complain about those on mobility scooters, you just get a quick look when you got at speed.
But on an ebike or escooter, youll get news articles about it

Have had mine for more than a year now. Really excellent commuter scooter. Suspension is solid, acceleration improved since firmware upgrades. Don't expect to carry it around for long, though - it's not very portable (25kg) even when folded up. The electronic bell is useless but easily fixed by attaching old school one. Find My functionality good for peace of mind. The worst part of owning it is missing all the incidental exercise I used to get from walking - I blame it for my weight gain!

    • Based on your experience, do you think it would be ok going on dirt tracks with the occasional lose rock here or there? I'm looking for a scooter for my 11 year old son and we live in an area where he'll be riding on road, dirt, a bit of gravel and grass

      • I have taken it on some dirt tracks with loose rocks. It was reasonably steady - the suspension does a much better job than scooters without - but it doesn't feel as smooth as a paved road. Grass is OK, but green / hilly you really notice a drop-off. I think it's made for urban areas but definitely has some versatility. I watched some YouTube videos before I bought about off-road experiences and from what I can remember, they thought it performed OK.

      • -1

I reckon it’s an accident waiting to happen for an 11 yo as they’re light enough they could get over 40 kmph. It’s a bit tall too.

      • Hit the brakes too hard and they will lose some teeth.

    • +2

easy fix: carry it around for long.

    • +4

The only thing holding me back is losing the incidental exercise. Walking to/from public transport and some days, depending on weather. I can add a 25 min walk in between station and office. It would be nice if it’s just a quick scooter trip but losing that exercise wouldn’t be great

    • Easy fix - use it for shoulder presses.

  • Anyone have any feedback on Pure Electric scooters and stance seems safer and more portable

  • +1

Can you bring this on a bus/train in NSW?

    • +1

This will replace Sydney Train especially the past 2 days…except the weather

      • Wish Sydney had infrastructure that supported Bikes and Scooters on roads. In its current state, its a death wish.

        • +4

Still waiting for them to support Cars

    • is it already legal to ride an escooter in SNW?

  • more like $300 discount, rather than $700

    House fire included for free😆

  • G3 recently released. Anyone ridden that? Much better?

  • How do you make this go 60km/hour? no point paying 1k with its potential speed crippled

    • You don't.
You get a scooter that has a 72v system on it.
You won't be paying $1k, you'll be paying triple.

    • +1

Going 60km/h on something with wheels that size is a great way to get yourself killed.

    • Trust me even if you have a scooter that can go 60km/hr, you will do it once to test it then never do it again.
There is no safe, practical way of using those speeds anywhere.
I got myself a more powerful escooter so it doesn't bog down on big inclines due to being 6ft and 110kg and living in a very hilly area.

      • Do you mind sharing which model you got?

        • Vippa Reapa

      • We recently had a scooter following us at ~80km/h (on Tassy backside curvers) and we were questioning why did the guy wear a helmet (t-shirt and shorts otherwise). We were terrified actually, and pushing break pedal very early and gently, he was basically tailgating us…

  • +1

Naaah.. For anyone thinking about getting an eletric scooter, facebook marketplace is full of barely used ones. I got my Ninebot G30 MAX for $335, with little negotiation. Had less than 300km on it.

    • of course they're barely used, they get flogged from train station lockups. Mine did

  • Great e-scooter…until the rear tire gets flat. It's a nightmare to change to the tire so best to not DIY this and Segway service support is limited.

  • I just bought the Mrs a Vsett9+, but I think I should have got this instead.
