Hi Everyone,

I was looking for an ipad magic keyboard alternative and have come across this deal.
Seems like amazon has all of their logitech combo touch keyboards on sale.
Can also use Officeworks PBG for an additional 5% off.

Largest discount seems to be for the iPad Air 13 inch model at 46% off RRP:
iPad Air 13-inch (M2 & M3) model - $199.00

Others:

Seems like a pretty good deal to me.
IMO a little more versatile than the Apple magic keyboard, however limited stability if you're using it on your lap.
Good option for those who use it for both writing/sketching, using the keyboard on a desk, using it without the keyboard all together at various times.
Also significantly less costly.

Not my first comment on a deal. So please don’t go easy. Tell me I stink.

You breached a guideline by requesting to be personally attacked.

        • Oh well that PainToad guy is a real piece of shit.

    • Why is this such an issue

He's joking. Downvotes are from the usual internet folks who can't tell an /s

        • Are you telling me their comment was sarcasm?
          Weird.

@FredAstair: Yes lol. Plenty of posts here have "I'm new here go easy on me". OC went "nah mate you broke the rules you gotta get guillotined." It's a joke.

Good find, but cheaper on eBay. I bought one from this place last week. https://www.ebay.com.au/p/24047445072

It’s one of the few non-Apple options that uses the Smart Connector on the back instead of Bluetooth. Doesn’t feel nearly as premium as the Magic Keyboard though.

Detachable keyboard makes it a winner

Apologies, removed first time poster. Probably last time poster tbh. Happy ozbargaining!

    • Don't be last time poster - We were waiting for 15years for this to happen.

Very tight fit on mine, feels like it’s going to break the iPad. Steer clear if you want to remove it from time to time.

  • What a shame the iPad Air 11-inch model is not on sale as the larger 13-inch model.

Have this exact model for my iPad Pro 11’
(Actually I accidentally bought it twice…doh!)

After much deliberation I ended up buying this one as, like many others are saying, much cheaper than the actual apple version, and the detachable keyboard than can be reverse and placed under the iPad is quite useful for me at times.

So.. my 2 cents on this product.
    CONS:
-besides part of the bottom thin part of the case separating (the part that is at the base of the screen where the connection point to the removable keyboard is. So just below the virtual keyboard spacebat… if that makes sense) this is everything is states it is.
-I could probably just glue it back down easily (wish I knew how to add an image of it here) and it’s likely die to me using it a lot without the keyboard and caused by the pressure of my thumb pressed on that part while I hold it in my hand.
-I did recently buy an awesome compact magnetic hold iPad stand that ‘actually charges the iPads while in the stand’, it unfortunately, as this case covers the back of the iPad (where the wireless charge point is) that I can’t use it to charge the iPad with the is case on. And as @FancyDanced commented ‘ Very tight fit on mine, feels like it’s going to break the iPad. Steer clear if you want to remove it from time to time.’ Yes… hard to remove but, no @FancyDancer, I’ve had mine now for nearly 6 months and no issue with things like breaking the iPad 11’ screen.

    PROS
-Decent keyboard. In fact, with the touch screen ability and the decent keyboard feel, it makes me wish my MacBook had a touch screen like this too.
-Great second, sort of laptop, for when I need a little less large laptop to travel with. Which is my MacBook.
-Finding I’m using it more and more than I do my MacBook (which is helpful for me as I’m planning travelling OS soon and would be nice to be able to leave my heavier, bulkier MacBook behind and utilise this as both my tablet and my laptop. But obviously if large screen real estate is important for someone, then this wouldn’t really be a benefit.
-Nice to not have to separately charge the keyboard, as it using the iPad power for it.
-Great that I can flip the keyboard over and have it help magnetically (strongly) under the screen.
-The beveled edges around the screen do look like they would help protect the screen a bit from drops.

Overall, I’m no IT person that needs a large (or even 2nd) screen, so for a reduced bulk laptop alternative than even for creating large documents, etc, this case with detachable keyboard is definitely a winner for me.
So, even though I accidentally bought a second one (at a similar price to this deal) if this one eventually needs replacing, I feel I’m still better off with this one due to its functions, that the apple one doesn’t have, it’d still be a better buy for me.

Anything for the iPad 11 gen?

    • +2

Yeah looking for the same. Can't justify paying 50% of the iPad's value on a case :/

      • Exactly! More than 50% given the amazing iPad price war with Costco vs Officeworks recently….

  • Any recommendations for similar keyboard for a Samsung tablet? Specifically an A9+

  • FYI JB is doing the price match. I have an old case with keyboard and I managed to fit that in my M4, no complaints.

I was very close to place an order but then little confused after reading few comments and the most important for me is to use my iPad on my lap while travelling which is a big problem with this case.

Anyone interested can buy from JB here https://direct.jbhifi.com.au/AU255-SPMZSX with extended warranty for ~$38. TOTAL $226.80

PS: You can get a refund of the warranty if you are not interested
