Lifetime Sports Table $100 at Anaconda

140

Looked at camping tables before Xmas, went to Kathmandu, Anaconda, BCF & Rays. Tested Coleman and rest and this is by far the sturdiest around in the style with the two benches. Was $180 at Anaconda then and a bit less online - Now it has been reduced to $100 which is the cheapest around. It is approx $90 at Walmart so I don't think we will get it much cheaper in Australia :)

Note: Kathmandu has a clone of this product which is no where near as sturdy for $70 on clearance, but I would go the lifetime over it anyday.

just wondering what exactly makes it a "sports" table

    • -2

Could wonder the same about a "sports" car. Just a name.

      • a sporty car = fast, handles well
        a sporty table = ?

        • +3

may be fast implementation, handles well? :P

Maybe it's got a red stripe on it somewhere that we can't see or …

It says its portable and suitable for camping. A bit like an SUV, I guess (which nobody uses off-road either). So soon everyone will replace their mundane dining table with a sports utility table (which will end up crushing kids, then people will install cameras, and so on…).

      • motorsports?

    • Its in groovy British Racing Green :)

    • -1

Not a bargain if it breaks in 5 minutes is it?

  • +3

How sturdy is this thing? Can u do stuff on it?

    • +8

      yes, but no fat chicks

      • Phew! I'm huge but my girlfriends petite so it can still work

  • Maybe useful for ping pong. Hence the name contains "sport".

      ping pong with spectator seating.

  • I bought this about 1.5 yrs ago from camping country and paid $100. Mainly use it for camping, but also as a drinks table for party's and extra seating of needed. It's sturdy, but I wouldn't sit on it.

"It's sturdy, but I wouldn't sit on it."

Except the two bits that look like seats :-)

      • +1

Lol…. Yep, the seat parts are suitable for sitting. :p

  • For what it is worth, I bought one of these about 6 months ago, paid a fair bit more. It was the most sturdy one in the shop, and I still think it is a good unit.

  • Thanks a lot for posting - just what we needed for our new tent. Hope it arrives in time …
