I just got one of these for 99c when ordering a Legion Pro 5i 16 (series 10). Compared to my 6 year old LG GL850s it seems slightly duller with viewing angles that make me question whether it's IPS - could be the anti glare coat. Both calibrated to 120cdm and it just seems slightly dark.

    • Yeh few mentions of this on other post

    • idk mine is fine i came from a 24" 1080p msi and this lenovo is much better. i only game tho so maybe i just dont know any better

    • The LG might be using an unclamped or DCI-P3 colour gamut, and the greater colour saturation/volume would appear brighter to your eye despite measuring the same luminance.

I suspect they'd both perform the same when clamped to sRGB.

Thanks OP. I want to buy one monitor for wfh and casual gaming too. Just wonder if I should get this one or HP Omen 27q deal posted few days ago. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/898971

I’ve asked that question a couple times and always get told to get the R27qe. It’s just slightly better version of the 27q for the same price

      • thanks. got one and picked up as well. It looks great.

      • Thanks OP. Got One from OW.

  • you can purchase this on lenovo au for the same price without the shipping cost. unsure if it ships from China though

if you can, you should get Officeworks to price match and beat 5%

      • I can't sadly, I am about 13 hours from the closest one haha. Does anyone have experience buying from lenovo first hand? Cheers! I would love to order it from their site but a bit wary from the online reviews about ordering.

I bought one. The viewing angles are weird, I measured it as full brightness for about +/- 25 degrees in each direction, then there is a diffuse dim band dropping to a lowest of about 2/3 brightness, then for far angles the brightness is slightly higher than the dimmest point of the band. Not sure if it's the anti-glare coating, or they used some optical trick to make the screen appear brighter when viewed straight on (but dimmer when viewed from an angle), so they can boost the brightness spec. It's not noticeable if you sit 70cm+ away and straight on to the screen. I probably should have spent $30 more and got the almost identically specced AOC Q27G4F (which has a brightness of 300 cd/m2 instead of the 450 cd/m2 for the Lenovo).
