uh, i returned a vacuum after 10 months usage, no issues cause amazon will fulfil manufacturer warranty themselves within 12 months for majority of items.
Most electrical goods can be…modified slightly…to permit a return without failing the cursory inspection Amazon conducts (same as Bunnings). That being said you ought to have done some serious research before dropping almost $3k on a robovac, especially when the deal is for less than 10% off.
What are you talking about??? I do it all the time.. maybe you got to only do it with prime purchases..
$2.7k and still spinning mop pads..
Agree, plenty of equally adequate models for less than half the price. The main function is sweeping / vacuuming, and a $150 Lublulue does that just fine.
The price to feature changes with vaccums have been quite disproportionate I must say since the Q Revo, extendable sweeper brushes, warm water wash and warm air drying for mops, automatic attachment/detachment of mops which cancels out gains from raised height which is a feature, better obstacle avoidance, split brush to lower hair entanglement, higher suction and driver motor power … I do not really feel the need for any of these features as a must have for my use case..now if the thing could climb up and down stairs and do two storeys then that would be worth the price for me though even 2 Q Revo max, one for each floor, would be cheaper at 900 each
The ability to jump over a lip or higher floor (say from the hallway to the laundry) is determining which machine I want.
This Saros 10R is pretty good for that (says 40mm, probably 30mm real world), and the new flagship Dreame X50 ultra can do 70mm (real world will be less). I like that the 10R has a removable mop tray to make cleaning easier, but that extra height ability can’t be sneezed at.
Vacuumwars have them rated side by side on top vacuum cleaners, only a couple of ecovacs higher (which can’t step over any but a tiny lip.)
Both a similar RRP although TGG commercial have a big ongoing discount on the Dreame to $2056.

Thread says out of stock but depends on store and on line. I’ve asked for it to be changed to available.
I think I will buy the first of these 2 to drop below $2k.
Where did you find Q revo max for 900? I’m looking for a Roborock with these all features in <1k.
Couldve been my mistake mate..I saw a Qvrevo on sale for 899 a while back, may have been the original QRevo not the max looking at current prices of the max. But the original is no slouch either, just wait for the next sale
Looks very similar to the G30U in China. Bought and brought one here, cost about AU$1000… Need VPN back to China to use the Chinese version Roborock though.
Wondering if I should do the same. Bought the Saros Z70 for about 3k. Not bad for AU pricing. But the G30U is pretty tempting at that price and I feel like cancelling that and getting the Chinese version.
Warranty and the language are the the main issues.
How many of these machines phone home? Is that a general thing or just certain brands?
Do you have any more info about how this works? Very tempting but worried about ending up with an expensive brick.
Hi Schrodinger
Please can you advise Which site did you buy G30U from and do all the features work on VPN via the app?
Top model sold in China for $600 maximum. Also, you can buy the router which is set up already (such as Zerofast router in Taobao.com) for this product to skip the reign lock. The router is ship to AU directly.
Not entirely what the noteworthy thing is about amazon returns? None of these allow you to 'try before you buy' you've gotta return the item unused and as new packaged. Just to open the box to look at something like this probably means unwrapping impossible to restore packaging let alone the mess you'd make of the item after just one run to see if you like it
