I was at a Sydney expo and Redsbaby was doing 20% off all prams and strollers. When checking out, I saw the code Pbc20off was used to apply the discount. Not sure for how long it will be valid

How was the rest of the expo OP?
There were other brands doing some discounts too. Although I don’t know if the discounts were too good.
If anyone went to the expo and got a code for the babybee Juno, let me know!
Alternatively, if you got a discount by going, keen to hear because I could go tomorrow if there is a discount to be had.

We also bought a cosleeper Iltutto Cozee breeze for $399 and a Britax B-Compaq IFix car seat for 499.
That looks like a good price for Britax B-Compaq. I've been looking at that one too and it was ~560 when last discounted.
No discounts on Juno, its the newest release.
Seriously over rated brand. Quality sucks. Had to keep repairing our under pram storage as the nut kept coming loose
Agree, we went to one of the events they used to do during covid and they felt cheap and nasty.
really? mine was solid AF. We borrowed my sister in laws Vista and I honestly thought the Redsbaby was better. Nearly 5 years later some pretty rough treatment offroad and taking shopping, it still looks and acts new.
Which model did you have? ours is Jive 3. The Metro had better under storage I think but the closing mechanism sucked by comparison.Agree. On hot days, our prams front wheel plastic brackets flex to the point where it catches the front wheel when you're going up kerb ramps. This makes the wheels instantly stop and can flip the pram over forwards if you're not ready for it. Absolute piece if crap.
I heard the same, but we still went ahead and got one (metro5) because the ones everyone recommends are either 2-3x the price new or 10-20% more second hand.
Been over a year and we use and abuse it a lot (no car, a lot of inner-city walking); the pram has been solid.
It's very sturdy and baby is happy in it, even for naps.
Interesting that there's multiple reports of being sockpuppeting - really doesn't scream it at all, 20% off at an expo is very usual
This is their standard, we got 20% off when we bought ours nearly eight years ago at the expo. Loved our one, never had issues.
That's what I thought - strange to suspect old mate of being a sockpuppet
If anybody was at the expo today and saw if there was an Uppababy Vista V3 I'd love to know! Planning on buying one and looking for a good deal. Thanks 😊
if you planning to have 2 kids, go nuts its good,
if not get something smallerThanks! Yes we are pretty set on it - did you happen to see if they had any deals on the V3 at the expo today? e.g. includes the bassinet stand?
nah soz i didnt look at the prams it was wayyyyyy to busy
@nivlac95: if you want a Il Tutto chair, use code "abs20" and it will be cheaper than the show
if you want the tasman eco Willow Cot package its cheapest at tinytotsbabystore by $12
There are deals on uppababy here's the link as they have a self check out option at the expo. It's mostly accessories packs for free rather then discounts on the pram not sure if this is a good deal or not.

Ah thank you so much, this is exactly what I was after 😊
I’ve said it many times before, but please consider saving your hard earned money and buy secondhand. Pram technology has not really changed, so a 4-5 year old pram off FB marketplace will do the same job for 1/4-1/2 the price. Same logic can apply for a cot, change table, high chair, learning tower, etc. It’s a goldmine for new parents. Don’t get sucked into the hype of buying flashy new stuff. Your baby does not care whether they are pushed around in a Bugaboo Fox 3 or 5, but they will enjoy you having an extra $500+ to spend on a family holiday or experience
Agreed. FWIW our second hand Uppababy Vista was better than our new Redsbaby. Reds was ok, but less practical basket and just not as nice to use. Moving bits like handles weren’t as smooth and didn’t feel as well assembled in general. Reds was still alright, but not our first choice.
For people with a Pram, the same logic applies in that there’s a pretty reasonable demand for second hand, so sell when done.
That’s exactly my point!
You can buy a better pram (eg Uppababy) secondhand than a new but ‘worse’ one (eg Redsbaby)
You can then resell the secondhand pram on FB marketplace for close to what you got it for if you get a good deal to begin with
I’ve also mentioned before that new parents go WAY over the top on buying stuff for their newborn. I appreciate why, but it’s still unnecessary
For sure.
Guess related for new or expecting parents, but we sold our capsules and bassinets when we didn’t need them, before we’d finished with the prams. People will buy those sorts of shorter use parts on their own and you don’t necessarily need to wait four or five years until the kids have grown out of the pram to offload as a package.
Yeah, I got a 6-month-old bugaboo fox 5 for $800, you couldn't tell it was even used the bassinet was still sealed up.
Anyone got their Skip 3? We need a light travel pram. Other options we are considering are Joolz AER+ (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/908111) or Bugaboo Butterfly.
We just picked up the Butterfly today after deliberating a bit - the key thing for us was that it is by far the easiest to fold/unfold of any model we tried, because that became a real pain point we had with the previous second hand city jogger we had. The only negative is that the recline is not as low as some other models but our girl hates lying down in the pram so it wasn't a big issue for us.
We have a Skip 3 and took it around Japan. No issues from our side. Qantas, JAL and Jetstar all let us on board with it.
We own a Yoyo and love it for travel (10+ countries over 4+ months)
redsbaby is kinda shit tbh
i was at the baby show today too.
proved like 5 sellers that you can get it cheaper without the show prices,
only spent money at tasman ecoWhat deals did tasman eco have that made them worth it over the others?
They made me a custom package, different cot and different draws. Rather than the matching one
For what’s its worth. Wifey looked at multiple prams and when she finally decided, she went with a brand called iCandy.
It was expensive but through the different other prams we’ve also received from hand me downs, iCandy was one of the more ergonomic and easy to handle.
Only thing I really recommend to all the dads is to let your better half find what’s ergonomically best for them and not for you.
Thank you!! Just ordered the pram I’ve been wanting for months 🙏
