    Have you tried Nizoral 2%? I use it for another issue and it's the only thing that works.

  Mum bought this regularly and I had to use it, supposedly because it cured baldness… and the old man was bald as a badger. (never seen a bald badger….but anyway)
  I reckon I started it at about 14 years old. By 16 I was embarrassed by a high hairline, by 22 I had a ponytail, but nothing on the front.
  Sounds like it cures dandruff…. I don't know where the idea that it prevents baldness came from… whether they used to advertise it like that or not… but 50 years later I still need a beany in winter to keep my skull warm. :)

    This comes too late for you but might be helpful for others, ketoconazole (Nizoral, Sebizole) is a treatment for dandruff that can also treat male pattern baldness through its effects on DHT, this is a different mechanism than it's treatment of dandruff (antifungal) and Selsun does not have this effect.

    Selsun can be used to treat Tinea capitis, a fungal infection of the scalp that causes patchy hair loss. But this has nothing to do with male pattern baldness
