I purchased a high value gift card via ShopBack over the weekend to take advantage of a limited-time deal at The Good Guys for a purchase for a TV and a vacuum. Despite the payment being successful and cashback already received, the gift card remains in a “Pending” status after 2 days.
The online chat box is helpless Only automated responses; no effective assistance.
Two days later, got the reply from @gotyourback and thanks to those loving souls who helped me here and gave me the support.
Update on 3rd Jun, after 72 hrs, the Shopback team emailed me that I will be getting a refund in 3-7 business days instead of getting the gift card. And the refund will be deducted the cash back received in the account.
Me and my husband, We not only missed the promotion but also under huge pressure during this period. Not to mention that our time wasted dealing with the issue.
TBH, I prefer to get the gift card plus my cash back rather than a refund. The refund that based on your calculation is not my full payment amount but deducted with the cashback.
Hopefully nobody will need to experience this anymore. From what I learned on this lovely forum, this is indeed a ADAGCHS.
Sounds awful, definitely need a timely resolve for this. @gotyourback
