If you recently impulse bought a Lubluelu auto empty station and realised you dont have a vacuum to go with it, the SL60D is down to its sale price of $169.99.
If you prefer white, the SL60D only has 10% off however the SL68 white is also 169.99. Main difference seems to be SL68 only has one side brush but 500Pa higher suction. However they say it's not compatible with the SD85 auto empty station, but is with the D3. (Have since learned that the SL68 may not come with a self-emptying bin, see below)

Had one for a couple years.

The contacts in the dustbin have degraded and have been smashed out by the aggressive contact points in the unit, so no mopping function till i get a new dustbin.

Otherwise a good vac. App is a bit of an afterthought.

Be aware you will need to split your wifi so its generating a 2.4 signal which the unit requires. Its a shitty set up procedure but hey, youre not forking out for a $1k robot

    • Most people run a dual band setup (its default) so already have 2.4ghz. Part of this is for device compatiblity but also because most people don't have 3 wifi AP's in their house so 5Ghz doesn't have the penetratation needed.

I had to turn off … Mode switching? I cant remember… My IT solutions are all reddit posts.

        • Oh, I think I realise what feature you are talking about now. It automatically routes clients between 2.4G/5Ghz depending on signal.

Its a router feature that can cause issues with some devices.

My bad.. that should say white

          • @bamzero: all good, I grabbed the white
            thanks for the deal

  • @bamzero - Hi OP, I was looking at models SL68 plus vs SL60 plus. Any idea which model is better as both have different auto-empty dustbins SD85 vs D3?Thanks.

    • I couldn't say which is better. The SL60D is more common I think, probably because it gets discounted more often. As I mentioned the main difference I can see is the SL68 has slightly higher suction, but only one side brush. Looks like all their other parts are the same. I'll be using mainly on hard floors, so the dual side brushes seems like a better option for me. If you are mainly on carpets, maybe that extra bit of suction is more worthwhile but hard to say if you'd actually notice much difference.

Unlike the SD85, the D3 says it is compatible with both the SL60D and SL68 so would probably be the better option between those. They are both 2.5L.

      • Thank you

      • Is the other difference between the SD85 and the D3 is that the former has better suction than the D3? Can get the D3 slightly cheaper but is there any real difference between the function of the two?

        • +1

Yeh, they don't really state the suction anywhere apart from a mention on the product images, where the SD85 says 30000Pa and the D3 says 18000Pa so if you take them at their word the SD85 seems better on paper, provided you don't need to use with the SL68. I dont know how much I trust Lubluelu's suction rating claims though, as they seem to vary (ie the SL60D and SL68 I've seen listed from between 2500Pa and 5000Pa)

The D3 also has shallower dimensions by about 70mm which I would have preferred so it doesn't stick out so much when robot is docked.

Unfortunately can't say much else as I haven't compared side by side. Other thing to consider is if the bags are cheaper for one or the other (but double check as a lot of the listings on AliEx look like they are for the 2.5L D3 but are actually the 2.0L ones.)

      • Is there a link to the bin for sl60d

Be cheaper to buy separately, vacuum from Amazon and station from eBay with JUNE20 code. (I'm not convinced that there is any difference in the vacuum between the Pro bundle and the vacuum alone. The SL68Plus bundle claims 1000Pa higher suction than the standalone SL68 too. Guess it's possible, slightly faster fan, not sure of the real world difference if so)

      SL60D + D3 @ $94.99 - $264.98
      SL60D + SD85 @ $111.99 - $281.98

Happy with mine, needed a bit of tech support though recently for potential warranty issue, absolute radio silience form their website form. (think i addressed myself [contacts had some light corrosion for charging])

    • I have no problem contact them with Amazon message.
