Garmin Forerunner 955 Black (Non-Solar) $549 ($518.50 eBay Plus) Delivered @ Dick Smith / Kogan eBay

70
MS10OFFMS15OFF

Not an all time low, though a pretty good price.

Seems like these dipped to below $500 just as the new models (970 and 570) were announced, but creeped back up again.

Discount code is 15% for eBay+ members. 10% for non members, though it’ll probably pay for itself to get +

Same price via Kogan and Dick Smith’s eBay stores.

I called Ryda (ATL price via eBay) who confirmed it won’t be listing this on eBay again.

Not solar how does it charge by body heat?

    • It’s self winding.

Just be careful with older Garmin's, Garmins support for updating features isn't what it used to be, they're doing a lot more gatekeeping to the newer products to try and segregate and encourage upgrades, even high end lines costing thousands like Fenix 7 /Epix 2 are being left behind with the new activities and things

    Thanks OP 🙇‍♂️

    $520 is a good price.

Sounds like maybe we're not getting lower, especially with Ryda not stocking their eBay.

And going to presume newer releases 965, 970 aren't getting this low especially not anytime soon.

This is an entry into the market for me and don't mind an older version for the price. Have heard from users that they prefer the display MIP > AMOLED, perhaps because of outdoor brightness and power efficiency. Non-solar sounds like it's far from a deal-breaker. I presume that once older versions lose updates, they retain their function, albeit out-dated, if it GPS tracks and counts metrics I'll be happy.

I hope Garmin's software (Connect) will provide everything I need without being pushed into the subscription model.

My Forerunner 630 purchased in 2017 (possibly a 2015/2016) model still works perfectly and is 80% as good as my new forerunner 265s I recently got.

So I wouldn't stress they will work fine in the future unless Garmin intentionally break it.

  • Jacked to $610 now to offset code.

    • What were they before the jack?

      • Original was $610. 10% off gets it to $549. 15% to $518.50.

        • Good, still $610, didn't catch a jack
