    Fun story. Yesterday I had a Thai railways ticket inspector (who clearly spoke almost no English) ask me how much my Kamasu in red cost. I worked it out in Baht and showed him on my phone. He then grabbed my wrist to closely inspect it for around 20 seconds before saying “automatic!” and gesturing to other random passengers on the train how good it was.

      Yeah the Mako's have gone up already. Just noticed this Timex on special but not going to post it if prices are going up after a few purchases -

        That Timex is still $60 so might be worth a post of its own. And, yes, it's pretty much guaranteed to be a loud ticker, almost all Timex are. I love all mine, they just live in a watch box that goes into a drawer - problem solved!

            @WatchNerd: what would the ticking sound be like on this one in your opinion - Timex Harborside Coast Green? Your opinions on the watch as always is appreciated. Been eyeing off the black version as an easy beater and saw the green was a good deal so considering it.

              @Digiiz: I don't know but I'm assuming it would be loud too. FYI - The case is chrome plated brass too.

              I'd prefer stainless steel in that price range but you'd have to buy something on Aliexpress like a Steeldive, Addiesdive or Pagani.

    Pretty good prices, the green one is nice and sapphire for under $300. Great finishing and quality, the bracelet is passable but worth upgrading if you're going to keep the watch (got an Island watch jubilee).

    I paid about $305 for this blue green gradient but is still good for $367, and comes from Japan.

      Thanks - went for this one and stacked with the 10% Cashback - this seems to be the Kamasu II? The blue green gradient looks stunning!

      Do you use it as a daily? Any other tips or thoughts regarding the watch?

        Sweet, good choice. Some say it's a Mako 2 some say Mako 3, hard to know officially. Still has sapphire so I just call it a Kamasu (nickname anyway).

        Nope not a daily but don't have the heart to sell it yet either. Very nice style, I like the indicies over numbers, the beige colour and hands look good.

        Not much else to worry about just wear it. If you do want to get a better bracelet look up these. Really brings the quality up to match the watch.

    The green Kamasu looks amazing in person. The Amazon stock photos don't do it justice. Check out some reviews on youtube to get a better idea of how it looks.
