Bunnings Now Accepting Gift Card Payment Online!

Looks like Bunnings are now accepting gift card payment online, with the roll out of their new "Reducing Balance Bunnings Gift Card"!

Traditional Bunnings Gift Cards (those without a 4-digit PIN) can only be redeemed in person at Bunnings stores. Reducing Balance Bunnings Gift Cards (those with a 4-digit PIN) can be used online and in-store, including on Bunnings Marketplace.

Bunnings is so weird. I used a Bunnings gift card in store and they gave me my change in a $10 gift card and $4.55 in cash.

    • Their Gift Card System isn't like others where it is loaded on the card. I kinda like it, makes it really easy and avoids having stupid amounts on cards if you don't spend the full amount.

      • These are their old cards which appear to be getting replaced with these new 'reducing balance' cards!

< $10 balance is returned in cash. You'll notice the smallest denomination plastic card is $10.

      • The other day I had a $3 balance and they put it on a gift card.

        • They just updated their GCs, so now everything goes back on GC, which can take < $10.

  • What does "reducing balance" mean? Does it mean the balance of credit on your gift card will gradually expire?

    • The balance reduces as you use it

Need to find one of them non-reducing ones.

  • Shame only instore
    ( no discount)

    • It's extra steps but you can get discounted gift cards online and swap it in store for the new reducing balance ones:

Only gift cards with a 4-digit PIN can be used online. Cards without PINs can still be used in-store or exchanged for online-redeemable ones.
