27-inch, QHD monitor under $200 sounds like a pretty good deal.
Couldn't find many reviews, but on Amazon US, it is categorised as an Amazon Choice monitor

lol where did you get HN from
Oh whoops, my bad, I mean OW… For some reason I thought it was HN since they always seem to have wrong product descriptions.
I won't recommend FHD on 27inch .. unless you are sitting meters away from screen. It looks so pixilated.
playing devils advocate here. It depends on the majority of content you view, I would say 1080p is more universal and if running 1080p content on 1440p the interpolation can degrade quality. For everything else at 1440p yes you're right. But with a 1440p monitor also needs more money to the rest of your PC particularly GPU.
I did use 2x 27" 1440p monitors for the longest, but have not regretted going back to 1080p as it also meant I don't need to feel like I have to overspend on the entire setup to ensure all games run at high refresh rates at 1440p.
I’ve been looking for an upgrade for my 23s for a while, this will do the job cheers
Looking for 2nd hand 27 qhd/2k maximum $100 seems hard. Sellers are delusional selling $250
Thanks OP, that'll do nicely.
No reference to speakers - or not - so presumably it doesn't have them?
No speakers, no webcam
JW Computers have them ex-demo for $179.
Any good deals around for 32"?
Can anyone advise whether this will look good for office work - lots of documents with text on screen. I've had monitors that look really pixelated with text, and I'm always wary of whether these well-priced monitors will actually have good clarity.
Yes.. And that's the main reason I went for qhd instead of fhd. I use it from a 60 cm distance and the text is pretty sharp… Fhd with that distance looks too pixelated.
It's an absolute value for money. Only thing I am missing is height adjustable stand.
Guessing you can't find many reviews as looks like it's only sold at OW (or possibly same product, different model number so they can avoid price matching?) according to Philips page
Maybe worth noting too that although it's 120Hz capable they say it's 100Hz overclockable to 120Hz but with this disclaimer
The Overclock function increases the native refresh rate, however, it does have some associated risks along with it. If the screen is displayed abnormally after rebooting, please switch off the Overclock setting located in the monitor's OSD menu
I am tempted though…
Thanks OP. Picked up my 2 today to replace my old dual 24" Acer FHD 60Hz. This is a great upgrade (very happy).
The only issue I'm having is the 3840x2160 looks crappy, so using the default (recommended) 2560x1440.
Does anyone know what causes this? I would like to improve this issue if possible. I'm using the follow:
* Intel NUC Laptop 11th gen i7 (Intel Iris Xe graphics)
* 3 year old Lenovo Dock
* 1x HDMI to HDMI (Monitor 1)
* 1x DP to HDMI (Monitor 2)Should I upgrade to DP to DP cables or is it the dock/laptop that is the restriction.
TIA
These are 2K monitors not 4K ?
Thanks. This makes sense (it's a 2k monitor). I just thought as it showed it for the first time as a possible resolution to select, that it might do it. I didn't realise 3840x2160 was 4K. These are running great then. I'm happy with my purchase.
Edit: I'm getting a bit dated with tech.
Yep, 2560x1440 is recommended as thats the native resolution for the monitor. Anything higher or lower is getting scaled (poorly)
At $189 the MSI PRO MP275Q seems like a better deal?
https://www.amazon.com.au/MSI-PRO-MP275Q-Ergonomic-Compatibl…MSI: 1300:1
Philips: 1000:1MSI: 300 cd/m2
Philips: 250 cd/m2MSI: SRGB 100%
Philips: SRGB 99.93%The refresh rate is the same since the Philips is 120Hz "overclocked"
Images seem to be wrong as it says FHD. But specs and model number is QHD.
Is no speaker and webcam?
Be careful!
I almost got this one today at OW, on its box, it says 100hz refresh rate, also, on philips website, it says 4ms response time.
so I gave up on it, as there are so many choices on the market, no point to risk or waste money on this one.
I'm looking at the box right now, it says "Overclock to 120Hz"
Overclocking may reduce the life of the device.
Oh, and it’s HDMI 2.0 despite “Adaptive Sync”"HDMI 2.0 has sufficient bandwidth (14.4 Gbps) to handle 2560x1440 resolution at 144Hz."
So whats the problem with HDMI 2.0 exactly ?
interesting, I should've taken a photo today, it says refesh ratw 100hz, low blue mode etc, I was confused, so double checked the model number, on the box one white sticker shows E1N115, another shows E1N1510/something
then checked its website, shows 4ms response time
the website link is below mate and you were obviously looking at the wrong box too
Also on Philips website its says 1ms
https://www.philips.com.au/c-p/27E1N1510_75/monitor-quad-hd-…
So 0/2 get off the drugs mate
you mum have different opinion.
Response time (typical) 4 ms (Gray to Gray)*Your attempt to FUD and nitpick this monitor that you haven't bought is absolutely bizarre, its a 1ms MPRT monitor.
"In essence, MPRT is a more direct measure of how a display handles fast-moving content and reduces motion blur, making it generally considered a more accurate representation of real-world performance (than G2G)"
@jmc787: Went into officeworks, got them to get me out 3 and showed them the website and showed them the difference on the box. Asked them about the wrong information and they gave me $50 off each one. So came in at $147 each, try and give that a go and hopefully you get that same discount. Had this stacked with gift cards too for extra discount.
Well done, they are great value even at $197 :)

Look at this video, at 00:03, the box in it is as 99% same as the box I saw in OW, except it has some other language, but you can see the refresh rate 100hz.
I'll try to take photo tomorrow, not intrested to argue with you
I have the box in front of me, I have two of them in fact, so I don't need to see your photo thanks.
enjoy the upgrade
Set these up today very happen with them.
Using them with my VESA mount setup and Displayport cables into my Dell dock.
If anyone is looking for a freestanding desk mount this one works great with a pair of these https://www.amazon.com.au/Monitor-Standing-Adjustable-Screen…
IPS and 4000:1 contrast??? That can't be right…
EDIT: HN at it again, official specs say 1000:1
DCI-P3:93.57%, sRGB: 99.93%, NTSC 105.36%, Adobe RGB 103.55%*
Looks pretty decent on paper.
