  • Would this work with Breville oracle jet?

  • +1

    does its job.

They are less than half the price of the genuine ones but how do you know they work as well (or work at all)?

    • Hard to know for sure, but been using them for exactly 3 years, and no issues have arose.

    • I am not sure, i ordered one from amazon, the base was round shape and did clicked in. Mine oracle jet is pentagon shape. No where online i can find the replacement. Even on official website

Legitimately curious how important this filter is… I fill my Breville Barista Express from a Brita filter jug and removed Breville filter, as I don't really see the purpose of double filtering the water.

    • Ditto what's the point of another filter

    • It depends on your location and the quality of your water. I rely solely on rainwater and I live remote, so I need a filter. The tap water here is so poor that we haven't even connected to it.

      • I'm on tank water too, so we have a Britta jug, which I use, as well as an inline filter on the fridge water outlet. Seems to do the trick, no third eye or anything grown yet.

      • I wouldn't trust this filter with tank water, these tiny filters (including the popular brita jug filters) are only useful for removing the 'odor' in tap water, not removing fungi or pathogens in the water supply

        • The water passes through another filter before reaching this one.

    • I partially agree. However if anything falls into your filtered water, dust, dirt, coffee ground whilst filling the tank it will go through the machine. What real effects it may have I do not know.

I use these on my Dual boiler - works well.

  • How does one tell what Batch your machine is from?

  • Note the part number for this is BES008WHT0NUC1. While the ClaroSwiss ones are BES008WHT0NAN1. They have slightly different shape where they connect. Had problems with 2/4 of the filters from these exact filters last year with my dual boiler, but they may have been a bad batch.

    • U are on the same boat. The title says something and get something else. Having same issue with my oracle jet

  • Just put my first one of these in my dual boiler. No issues so far.

Small point, but the ones I have do not have the month numbers in a contrasting colour (like on the amazon pic) and on the originals. So they are very hard to read.

I've set a calendar reminder instead.

    Too small, go big.

  • Not compatible with my oracle touch. I will have to return them.
